Default Girls and our RC habit

I race with SyndrOme here in Kansas City up until Tuesday 1/22/08.

I have been dating a woman for almost 4 years. She attends the clubs races and even goes out of town with me to events. She supports my addiction/habit.

THERE ARE GOOD ONES OUT THERE! YOU JUST GOTTA FIND THEM.

SyndrOmes wife even lets him out weekly to play. If you get a mature woman who is not all about the attention they need it will work out better.

Don't refer to them as "toys". They are just as hard to adjust as the real thing but fit in a much smaller garage. My wife perfers the r/c cars over the real street rods I have built over the years. Now she can park her car in the garage.

Well said comments... get over the RC-dork denial & be honest with your girlfriend & yourself. Superficial relationahips will fail regardless, so just get it out there & be happy with yourself. Once you find someone who supports your hobbies & passions, then you're set & bliss will follow shortly. Just make sure she thinks the relationship comes first, then the hobbies, & you're home free... how you convince her of that is the key My significant other accepts my goofy hobbies(RC + real cars) with enthusiasm, because she knows I'm not going to strip clubs, or doing other unsavory things with my spare time & money.

Um...just because you stand outside their window and masturbate while they're changing clothes does not make them your girlfriend. Women don't care what you do for fun in your spare time. They only care about what you do when your time involves them.

most women will not care that you're playing with your "toy cars". take her to the track and show her what it's about, once she sees it mostly guys she wont care. if there's women there maybe she'll make a new friend. any woman would rather you be playing with your "toy car" than out cheating!

Well as a former single guy I have to say my wife was the one who got me back into the hobby.

We had been dating for almost a year and I was walking through a grocery store and saw RCCA on the shelf and was like wow! I had been out of the hobby for 8 years. So my then girlfriend, now wife, said buy the magazine. I has hooked again. Now 5 years later I am married with a baby and love this hobby.

My wife now says to me how did you go so long without being in this hobby. I get to the track at least every other week and don't get any hassles.

So find the right woman and enjoy your life and your hobby. It is possible.

My wife wouldn't dare trying to put her car in MY garage, not that there's room... lol... Most people have the lock situated so that if someone breaks into the garage they can't get into the house, I have it the opposite, I lock my garage so that if someone breaks into the house they can't get into my garage... besides the house my 2 most expensive assets are in there... lol...
