I dont think Matt is slow at all. Let's not bash each other guys. Rules are made for a reason. They shouldn't have been allowed to run the car.

iam not saying matt is slow i am replying for myself he insiuated i was and no where does it say factory guys cant race in stock. for me better because i am not and i can run with them at a national level with them in a class where driving and setup is a factor other than motor and batteries.
19 t would just make it more fun because its almost like pulling teeth trying to get at 27t motor to make power. plus note stock at a national level is not for beginners or novice guys its for those than cant afford to race against a factory driver whose equipment is something unatainable by the normal joe racer and and almost cost prohibited to race against.

I agree that the issue was that the car was allowed to run, not with how competitive it was or how the drivers did.

Stock is definitely the place to race if you're a 50% driver or want to be more. The top 10s at nationals events are almost exclusively sponsored, and occasionally full chassis rides. So much for stock being for beginners, eh?

Still though, should there really be a beginners class at a National Championship? Events like the TCS are cool because they are essentially pure amateur races. ROAR Nationals events are definitely more of a "pro" thing (relative to other sports that have Pro and Amateur designations).

i have been racing since 1987 and always rememberd nationals to be were you whent to race against the best racers in the usa for a national title, and it really isnt a place for a novice driver. stock is a class where your tuning and driving abilatys are to shine and not necessrily your wallot. but come on its a national not a club race. its for those at a level of competion of a higher skill. now ther should be class for those that dont whant to race a factory guy. but you know what? every body now a days cyries for special treatment. and in the old days there were only two classes. 1/12 modified AND 1/12 STOCK. AND RACE ENTRIES WERE OVER 200. AND THE MAJORITY WERE HAPPY now a days there indeedto many choises and some people prefer not to attend a roar race. ex: reedy race, clevland, snow birds, and the novak challenge. roar should take a closer look at this races and see why thier format attracts the masses. and if you dont whant to race against the pros than stay at home in your club races. but nothing feels better
than to a none factory driver and beating him on the track with inferior equipment!!!!!!!!!!!!

speedxl- I wasn't saying that your slow, in you post you said that the 27 turn stock motors were slow. All I was trying to say is if you think it's slow then run mod. I personally want to run mod against the factory guys, how else are you going to get better? IMO if you want to travel to National races all over the country and race stock that's great, but to be sponsored doing so is cherry picking.

I think all the A mains should be posted. Is my money spent not the same as everyone elses that attended? And if your going to list the results- they should all be posted(A-Z).Everyone would like to see there name out there. Not everyone is a factory driver and they pay their way to the races.
