Default GTB 4-Cell and power capacitor

has anyone used their GTB 4 cell without the power capacitor?
I am running 10.5, in a Gen X
But I need to shed some weight on it and this would be a good way.
Is there any substitute that is smaller?

Thanks
Grant

I would not remove that TransCap modual. It may lead to failure of the ESC

You can shed weight by:

Shorting your ESC and Servo wires with a kit from Servo City (Crimp pins not solder)

Replacing all the screws with Titanium and Aluminum screws.

Replaceing the rear motor pods with the AE plastic left side and a milled out Magnesium right side.

Use 14ga or 16ga wire if current loads permit

Replace the servo with a lighter one (Karbonite or Ti gears vs brass and steel)

Use smaller battery bars. I believe deans 2.0 are lighter than SMC

Cut on your chassis

Lightweight body

Use a smaller RX (I use the SR3500 from spektrum)

Use lower natural rubber tires, they weigh less
