Actually I tested the Diggity brace with an Orion 3600 and you can get it to hold pretty well. I put a couple of my base inserts along the back edge of pack to take out the slop and it held real well. I'll give you 2 choices here. Buy another side weight for second battery and I'll throw in a pack of inserts for free to get it to fit...or sell me the 3600 cuz I need another to test on Xray 007.

Here is my test fit post...

Here are the base inserts.

I have the base inserts, but dont quite follow you on your use with the 3600. A pic would be helpful. About the 3600, if you want it its yours. It has 1 race day, 4 charges on it. However an ejection from the car caused the case to have a gash in it, however not through the case. Ill provide a pic for you if you want.

BTW, guys at my track love the PPD stuff. Unfortunately most dont want to deal with removing the lead that has been secured by double sided foam tape. Ill keep working on them for you. And again, thanks for starting to fill the gap in a much needed market!

I dont have pics on the insert placement but basically bonded 3 lengthwise along the back edge to remove play. The Orion3600 has heavy raduised edge that combined with the useless humps gives some movement with the Diggity brace.

I ground the humps off the Orion I had and most of that play is now gone. I've seen some chowed packs from people trying to use those humps to keep the pack in...on hard impact = shifting pack in stock TC chassis. With the base plate I did a 360 flying roll 4ft high into wall and drove away...battery was unscathed.

Dont worry about converting your friends...they put alot of effort into taping on those lead weights...when they switch batteries, or get tired of looking at lead...they'll come around.

Here are a couple options for the T2 007 and 008. This is an Orion 3600 in a 007 US chassis...this fits with no top deck mods and minor relief in bulkhead. One pack has a carbon overlay on it, the other a stock 007 emblem over a blank, then the bright spot is the polished engraved Tru Balance..grab your shades.

I've got one of these 6000 lipos:
http://www.maxamps.com/Lipo-6000-74-Pack.htm

Do you think this would fit (tc5), perhaps with longer screws to bolt in? Thanks.

That packs dimensions are 44mm X 137mm X 22mm , so yes the 3.0oz baseplate will work fine. Being as it is already 10.6 oz you would need no more then the 2.5oz side weight added to the baseplate, possibly a bit less. That will help protect the soft pack from impact as well.

So I was finally able to weigh my TC5 using these weights. I only required 1 7g lead weight up front to get to weight using a new Checkpoint 5400 Lipo. I weighed in at 1526g, min weight was 1525. AWESOME!!

Sweet! Nice job.
I just picked up a 007 EU chassis that I'll convert my US chassis to. IIRC the US took 3 of the 7 optional weights (+21g) inside the weight channel to balance. How much weight did the EU chassis require with the 3600??

Are the base inserts sold separately, and could you attach them directly to the bottom of the lipo? I'm wanting to go to a lipo saddle pack, but I'm afraid the battery will slide around since it won't fit into the grooves made for the ni-mh cell. So I was thinking if i could attach those inserts, then that would secure the battery into the battery slots on the chasis.
