Novak Brushless system

My novak XBR speed controller is to high. The heat sink touches the body and makes it akward to work on. Can i remove the heat sink and replace it with a 1/16 of inch thick lexan. Kind of like the GTB 4 cell.

Randy Smith of BigBoysToys makes an aluminum cover for the GTB Esc, and I'm told they fit the XBR as well. These are thicker than the 4 cell GTB cover (about 1/8th inch thick)

A little disapointed, brand new xbr 13.5 set

I just bought one of those setups. I installed it in my xxxt, programmed it.
Before I could put it on the ground, I pulled the trigger the wheels spun for about 10 second and it went into thermal overload mode. I checked all wires and can't find out why this is happining. Im going to send it back to novak.
I can't stand waiting for brand new defective stuff. I've never had a problem with novak, thats why I bought it.
