Default 23 turn stock class ?

When are we going to go to a 23T stock class as they do over seas? I believe the only reason that we do 27T is because that is what certain distributors wanted so that they could "lock" the stock class up. Just looking for opinions !

the answer is most likely never.
Most countries actually use 27turn motors for stock and it's been going so long that it's highly unlikely to change. The 27turn motors have a huge amount of development from over the years and a change would mean thousands upon thousands of racers having to buy a new motor for very little permformance increase.
If you want something faster you can try a 19T spec class, then for more speed you can move up to full blown modified.

because if one may want to go a step faster than stock but not quite a full blown mod, plus it wont do you any good to run an 8t when all mayor racing (TC) regulates you to a 10t.

I agree that 23T stocks will most likely never be ran here in the states... right now I think things are about perfect, Before we had stock (27T) and mod.... there was no medium ground..... with the creation of the 19T spec class you have some medium ground for he guys who want to go faster than stock, but cannot handle the power/money of full blown mod racing.....

Very True....they are also doing the same thing in Japan now too They now have put a lower limmit on the Mod motors that will take Place soon for JMRCA rules 12 or 13 T mod`s only for 8 min races and they now are tring out 17T Spec classes at my local track to fill the gap between the 23T and Mod classes

I need to move to Japan, 8 minute races that would be awesome. It will probably will take years and something like a 4000mah batterie for us in the states to change to 8 minutes. It took them long enoth but they did change to 5.
