2008 Roar onroad carpet nats
This is the official thread for the 2008 Roar onroad carpet nats presented by Spektrum. The race takes place March 12-16 at the HobbyTown USA Hobbyplex in Omaha, Nebraska
The official website: www.2008roarnats.com will have all of the info concerning hotel information, sponsors, and anything else important to the race. It will be updated with the classes, motors, procedures and schedule for the race shortly.
As soon as we are provided it, we'll post the link for the online registration form.
Now that Roar has had their meeting here are the classes:
Touring stock - Any Roar Approved 27t and 17.5 brushless
Touring Super Stock - Any Roar Approved 19t and 10.5 and up brushless.
Touring Modified - open
Touring 13.5/rubber
1/12 stock - same as above
1/12 super stock - same as above
1/12 modified - same as above
Lipo will be legal in all 6-cell nimh classes. There will be an approved list in the coming weeks.
For the brushed motors, you can bring your own. You will be limited to 3 br/bl motors and they will be teched. We will have CO27's and Komodos available at the track thanks to Roar at a reduced price. As soon as that price is known we will post it.
In the 13.5 rubber touring class, any roar approved 13.5 is legal. You will be limited to 3 sets of Jaco green preomount tires. You can bring your own and they will also be available at the track. You must present them new and unopened to the roar official at check in.
We pushed really hard for the 13.5 rubber class and I think it will be one of the more popular classes.
Again all the important stuff will be at www.2008roarnats.com. You can also find more pics and info at www.hobbyplexraceway.com. This is our first national and we can't wait to have the best of the best here racing with us.
Let the build up begin!

This looks like its going to be a great event and the first one for many new ideas that ROAR has. I like the 13.5 rubber tire class and 3 sets of tires that you bring is also great. Man I wish I could make it.

Hehehe....I would love to make it back out there the place is just awesome....I would just need to stay away from Runza and would go back just for more Godfathers. If the entry fee is reasonable then I might be able to make it back...any idea on what they will be?
