nice chicky! hell of a second day of qualifying, and putting it to good use in the mains! awesome, man. at least you quit touring car for a reason.

Update:
1/12 Super Stock A2
Darroch and Dumas checked out from the field and by 6-minutes in were the only 2 drivers on the lead lap. Both drove fast and neither totally clean. One would bobble then the other would. With less than 30-seconds to go, Darroch hit the boards and pushed wide, letting Dumas get by to take the win. Darroch was 2nd and Chicky 3rd.

13.5 Rubber A3
Not a clean start for 4th place-back. Hohnstein got the lead early with Brian Stanton in tow. Hohnstein was not able to pull away like he had all weekend long and Stanton was never more than a few car lengths behind. Josh had a pretty hard board hit in the last minute and got together with Stanton and EJ Evans. Josh managed to get straightened out and took the win and the 13.5 Rubber title. Stanton finished second in this main, with Evans 3rd.

Update:
Super Stock Sedan A3:

With Cyrul having won the first 2 mains, this was the Ray Darroch show. Darroch's car was flying and he simply wore out the competition. Kevin Hebert had an awesome run, finally able to run a full main to finish second. Third place went to Micro

Update:
1/12 Stock A3
After 2 false starts, Brad Johnson lead the pack into the first turn, with Jucha, Smyka, and Ezrow in that order. Brad's car has looked awesome all day long and with Wynn on the sidelines Brad was able to shine. Smyka crashed out about 5 minutes in. Johnson clearly was the fastest car through the first part of the race, but Jucha started cranking out some great laps. With 2 to go, the gap was only .27 1st to second. Brad hit the board coming out of the sweeper allowing Jucha to move up. Back in third, Eli and Boice started to battle until Boice hit a board and broke. This is how they finished with Jucha 1st, Johnson second, Eli 3rd

Thanks man. The one thing I miss most about writing for the magazines is doing race coverage. I loved it

Update 1/12th Mod A3

Clean start, although there was a false start by Dosek. They got off the line clean with Dumas up front followed by Cryul and Chicky. Cyrul got passed by chicky, but Cyrul tried to get by through the sweeper with Lemeuix not too far behind. Cryul did get by but Chicky and Paul were right there with 1.4 seconds separating the top 4. Paul worked up to 3rd, with Cryul falling back to 4th. Pauk bobbled and fell to 4th. Chicky hit the inside chiccane after the sweeper and fell to 4th. So it was Dumas, Cryul, Paul, Chicky. Josh hit a board coming onto the straight but maintained 2nd. Dumas held on to win A3 and the title, followed by Josh and Paulie.

Update:
Stock Sedan A3

Going into the main, Eli was ahead on points, but Travis had won the first race and broken out of the second. ON the tone the train formed with Travis, Eli, and Boice. Eli hit the boards coming out of the Death Star Chiccane and fell into the clutches of boice. Johnson got by Boice coming out of the sweeper to take over 3rd and put the pressure on Eli. With a minute in Micro had a lead equal to the backstraight. Johnson all over the rear win of Eli, and eli tapped a couple boards allowing Brad to get even closer. 2 minutes in Eli started to reel Micro in, almost looking like Micro was losing a motor or something, just not as fast as earlier. Brad hit the boards coming out of the death star chiccane and gave Eli more breathing room to concentrate on the leader. Travis may have just been taking it easy as he is starting to pull away from Eli yet again. The top two get thru traffic clean, and here's Johnson back on the rear of Eli with 1:30 to go. Johnson's car is just much better from the death star chiccane to the start/finish line. IF he could gey by Eli he may be able to challenge. Coming out of the sweeper Eli and Brad both get together with lapped traffic and Johnson pulled off. This moved Drew Ellis up to the third spot. Travis took the win and the title, followed by Eli and Drew.

Update:
Touring Modified A3:

Lemeuix had the title in had and sat out the 3rd main. Baker lead the field into the first turn on the tone, but got absolutely launched to the boards by Toso. Full on Bonzai. This one is breaking down fast into a crashfest. Dumas inherents the lead followed by Burch and Easton in 3rd. Billy got together with a lapper and his body got crunched. Hebert moved up to third when Billy had to get his body fixed. Dumas pretty much checked out on the field, and Hebert managed to get by Burch for second. Hebert hit the boards coming out of the sweeper, allowing Ralph to get by. On the next lap though Ralph gave it back right in the same spot. With 3 in, Dumas was gone and the battle was for second between Hebert and Ralph. Hebert managed to put in some cleaner laps and pulled away from Ralph with a minute to go. Sounds like something is happening to Ralphs car, maybe a belt or spur gear giving up the ghost, so he needs to feather it for the last 30 seconds. With 10 to go the spur gave way dropping him back. Dumas would take the win, Hebert in 2nd and Easton finished 3rd.

Some Drama after this one... Barry is upset at how there was no Warning from the ROAR officials to Toso for rough driving. Plus Toso walked off the stand before the main was finished. Didn't affect the finish but Baker is in the right here. It was a bad move and did deserve a warning at the least.

Update:
1/12th Super Stock A3 (4ish):

A slight delay here for one race. Guess he had a different pod for his mod versus Super Stock car or something. The crew are doing a good job to be accomodating.

False Start

On the tone, Darroch Darroch got away clean, Dumas hit a board and dropped back to 6th. Darroch up front, Chicky in 2nd, Smyka in 3rd. Top two are pulling away from the field. Dumas worked past Smyk for 3rd. Dumas is FLYING!!!! Clearly reeling in the top 2 with only 2 minutes in. Chicky hit the boards coming onto the back straight wich let Dumas get by on the inside to take second. The separation has evened out with Darroch matching Dumas lap-for-lap and has a 2.8 second lead. It appears that Ray has kicked it into High gear now and is now up to a 3 second lead half way in. Mike has problems coming out of the Death Star Chiccane and takes a turn or two to feel his car out. Smyka is in a comfortable 3rd now, with Chicky 4th. No real battles on the track at all with 3 minutes to go. Darroch is being very smart and patient in traffic. This one is his as long as he keeps up this pace. Ray hit the boards in front of the driver's stand and what was almost a 4 second lead is down to under 2. Chicky has a problem and gets some air, but is able to continue on. With one minute to go it's still Darroch and Dumas with a 1.6 second gap between the leaders. With 30 to go Mike is caught behind 2 cars battling while Darroch has nothing but ozite in front of him. Ray crosses the line first with Dumas in 2nd and Chicky 3rd. This is vindication for Ray as he is the 2008 Super Stock 1/12-scale champion.

Time for dinner and an 8-hour drive.

Oh man..... was I just there? Thanks Gar! Trav: what can I say? Very Nice. You are so good any more, we expect you to "peel 'em".

But remember the time you burnt your pants off in front of the temp heater at my shop? You keep winning nat's titles....I'll remember the look on your face with your ass hanging out.
