I actually get more runs out of a lightweight body, they flex more and crack less than a standard. The only problem is that sometimes they get a little weak at the seams. Hopefully the lightweights will be legal.

As far as the Rubber tires go, do we have to have them in the package, becouse I have also had the tires out of round. I have a couple of sets that need to be sent back right now.

We are working/discussing a solution for that. I believe we will have a solution when the GBS rules come into full effect after 3/31... So they would be legal for this race.

It's my understanding that the the Mohawk 10074 IS a lightweight body, .020". And, it is the first body on the list. If Dawn says it's legal, then that's what I am going to run.

I must have it mixed up with something else. It's the body that Andrew runs. I thought I saw .020...

The 10074 is .030, the 10074L is .020.

Tires MUST be presented to the RMT tech staff unopened, new in package. If we don't handle it this way we might as well allow you guys to run anything. Who's to say someone can't unmount and remount with a rim or insert that will give them an advantage. If you're concerned about out of round tires, buy them from the HOST. I'm sure they will be making provisions with Jaco for this issue. Please understand I DO NOT SPEAK for Hobby Plex as they are responsible for any sales arrangement with the stated product mfr and sales of said products.

I understand. For the record, the part number on my windshield is "PL 10074", not "10074L".

Either way, I like it and plan to run it.

Who's to say someone can't unmount and remount with a rim or insert that will give them an advantage and reseal the bag? not to mention the tires would probably be junk after getting unmounted..

Is there a system in place to let racers reserve specific pit spaces?
Will we be able to keep the same pit space all week?

Yes, you'll be able to keep your pit spot all week. You can start setting up your pits as early as Tuesday.

I'm a local to the race this year, and I can vouch that the facility is top notch. There wont be a bad spot in the house. But to be fair, I think there should be a random draw just to keep the complaining to a minimum. Just my 2 cents!

There won't be a random draw for pit spots, people want to pit with their teams or buddies they traveled with. I wouldn't want to subject ANYONE to pit next to smokie J I guess if your like the last one to claim a spot you might have to pit next to the bathrooms, but that's about the only bad spot in the place
