OK getting ready to make the swtch in my 1/12 scale to brushless. What are your are your thoughts on the LRP Sphere vs the Speedpassion GT?

Thanks

Check the footprint on the Speedpassion, I like the Sphere in the 1/12 so far it is the smallest footprint with the lowest height.

The speedpassion definitely has a larger base area then the LRP. It depends on which LRP you are talking about in regards to height. There was the original sphere with no heatsink, sphere comp with heatsink, and newer sphere tc spec with heatsink and fan.

I use the LRP Sphere Competition 2007 Edition in my Cyclone12 without the Heatsink (its just an optional heatsink and is not neccessary for use) and it works great. The footprint is really small for a brushless and it puts the power down very nicely in the Cyclone12.

Most guys running the GT in 1/12th and even some TC guys are not using the option fan that is included with the Speed Passion GT. That keep the profile very low.

Either way both are very good ESCs

You should see a new one from Novak coming soon as well.

Just another option.

The LRP and Speedpashion are both excellent speedos. I like the speedpashion because of the programing features it has. It is the most adjustable speedo for brushless i have seen yet. And it can run either sensored or sensorless( I hate sensorless speedos so i only run it sensored)

by the way, both speedos fit real good in a 1/12th car. Here is a pic of my speedpashion. I will get one of the car with the LRP and post it also.

Default LRP or Speed Passion?

I currently run the LRP Sphere Comp Tc and I have had no problems on it and the programming is pretty straight forward. The speed control has never overheated and it has good punch.
I do not have a speed passion GT yet but several of my friends run them and I must say the programming box is pretty slick.
I don't think you will go wrong with either one.

the lrp comp, (not the tc comp) is a pretty smooth esc, i used it in off road and really liked it. i just tried a gt in off road and i like it way better, super smooth power band. going to put one in a 1/12 scale when it gets here this week.
