Actually, they aren't lipos at all. They are LiFe cells. They are a much safer, more stable chemistry, can be safely charged at a very high rate, and have a very high discharge rate. The tradeoff is that they are 3.0V per cell vs. 3.7V per cell for lipo, so unless everyone is running them you will be way down on speed.

Default frustrated with parts support

can someone please give me the part numbers for the M05 shocks. I'm looking for the aluminum oil filled ones. I'm getting conflicting info from various sites on part numbers

A lot of the guys in our local club run these shocks, and we have not had any issues with them.

I just ordered a M-05 for in door season. After seeing the above video these cars look pretty tough. Without reading the entire thread, what are the areas of weakness and which parts break first?

Steering linkage and front uprights. Get metal ones. Rear axles---- use front axles. The rest of the car is very sturdy.

Granpa, may I ask the reasoning behind the front axles used in the rear?

They fit and they work and they don't bend as easy as the stock rear ones. Also they make putting on the rear wheels much easier.

Only 1 big problem I see is that the weigh twice as much, and it is all rotating mass!

Have you tried the new Reinforced rear axles? I have not bent one of them yet!

I have never bent a original one either. Don't see the point of the reinforced ones...
