There's a couple, as mentioned, most touring cars use these now, back in the day we use to drive the pin out of the axle and use weedeater string, it worked just as well.

Hey Tiko, what bodies are those? Nice paint!
I may just have to give this a go. Seems a lot easier than milling out the diff cups with a dremel and cut off wheel. A assume you secure the string with a little super glue.

1 guy is running a HPI porsche body here and 2 guys are running the datsuns on their m05. I believe the porsche is a small chassis and the datsuns are the med.

I am running a HPI Datsun 510 body on my 03L (now it is an 03m).. it sits a little high in the front as it rests on the servo mount..... but it not terible looking, and there is one or 2 others running them on thier Mo5 also at the medium length....they fit very nice and I have not had any trouble with them breaking
other mods needed to mount the 510 body on a m05?

No, just use string slightly larger than the pin and trim the end so u can get it started then just pull through with pliers and give it a trim, works like a charm, last forever, so do drive cups.
TCS legal ???????
I'll be jumping on this band wagon for sure.
I'm still waiting for my parts to come from Horrizon and RC-Mart. Maybe the postal gods will be good to me tomorrow.
How is it that UPS can get something from California to Michigan in 3 days but it take a week and a half for the US postal service to get something here from one state over. Priority mail my ass

Look, I only go thru all this hassle cause the M05 ball diff does not create any level of confidence. That little 2x25mm diff screw worries me and the outdrives seem to be very soft from the ones I've seen. Tamiya is selling them, the screw, nut and nut holder, for $6. It shouldn't cost them more than 30 cents. Somehow that just doesn't seem right. Nothing against them making a profit, but -------
I was told previously that they didn't fit. Yet it appears as though they do....
As they are MWB, I would buy one for sure. If you find them locally , let me know.

Hey thanks Timmig, do you still run 5th scales the guy that wanted to buy my FG changed his mind. Also I finished putting my Associated 12R5 but I haven’t had a chance to take it for a spin. I like to take it to a track with other 12 scale’s that way I can ask for some help on set-up and things. This is my 1st 12 scale car and I need all the help that I can get.

Yeah-- I race 1/5 scale---I"ve got a couple of guys looking for cars. I don't recall what you've got. But bring your 1/12 down to Westcoast next Tuesday and we'll work on it!! I've got mine working okay--still need to make some adjustments but it's getting there.
