we adjust the throttle exponential to almost 30% to minimize wheel spin..and it worked very good..the car very smooth&stable on acceleration...
wet race with Mini is so much fun...

You adjust the diff by changing the diff lube. For a front-drive Mini, the Tamiya AW grease works well on many tracks. That's a fairly sticky grease so it slows down the diff action. On a front-drive car you do not want the diff action to be very free on most tracks.

I use a tiny bit of blue threadlock to keep the outdrives from floating around. If you use too much it can be hard to get the outdrives out when you need to, so go easy.

Putting in the ball diff should make your car easier to drive and more consistent, so keep checking/fixing until the car starts behaving.
I ran it 2nite was a fair bit better but the guys reckon I may have put too much grease in and its not tight enough as yet.....going to do a rebuild on it again and give it a good tighten....had way too much wheelspin. Car was easier to drive though.

firstly what body and secondly what part does it hit? the first place my swift body hits is the servo mount/brace

Dan: How do I lower the ride height?

Ashley Cobb: Its the Rover body and it looks like it hits the shock tower, maybe its the servo mount. Not sure the name of the part.

You lower the ride height by reducing preload on the shocks. If the shocks bodies are theaded you turn the collars to move them up. If the shock bodies aren't threaded you remove spacer clips from the shock.

I dont have threaded shocks or spacers. I have the stock shocks from the kit.

Go HERE about halfway down the page it shows you how to dump your car using the standard friction shocks...

In this pic, they have a shorter piece of the plastic tubing than what the manual says. The manual says 10mm in the front and 12mm in the rear.

I am confused what to do to make it lower. Do I keep the 10mm and 12mm pieces in or do I not put them in?

Can someone give me a step by step on what to do?

You cut the plastic tubing down to 5mm basically thats it.

I tried it and it doesnt seem to do much. Its a little lower, but now the shocks barely compress. Should I get the threaded TRF shocks instead?

I take it the ball end is threaded on all the way...? can you post pics of the shocks apart?
