Hey Tony, do you know if Tamiya are going to do the battery holder parts as a hop up as well?

Don't know Dec, they've just slipped this one in unannounced.

I'll check with Tim when he gets back to see if they're part of the normal parts tree or a separate piece.

Talking Questions, questions questions!

Are the HPI radial tires any good. I found a set and they don't have any reinforcment inside. I heard you can put that fiberglas tape inside to help support the carcauss. What insert should I use. They are also directional tread so does it matter? Really? Still can't find any X- pattern or 60D slicks!
I hear the HPI X-patterns might be here in December sometime!
We can only hope! Last there is a black chassis M-03. Is it the same as the grey one?
Thanks in advance
Max

A M03 chassis is a M03 chassis, all are from the same molds
There is the silver that came in the M03 (old cooper)
There is the black that came in the M03M (Swift) and M03L (BMW cooper)
There was a ver very very rare clear chassis (not sure where it came from, just know I have one)
There was the chrome on that came with the M03R
And there is the newly released "Blue" Chrome released as a limited Hop-up

The 'word' is that the blue chrome might well be the rarest of all Troy....

According to people who are supposed to know, it was only available to buy in person at the Tokyo Hobby Show, a limit of one per person, per day.....

And thats it, it wont be released as a normal, or even Limited Edition item at all.

Can't say for sure whether thats true or not, but RC-Champ and Rainbow 10 have each told me the same story.

All I know is that the Tamiya USA website shows it as a coming soon item, weather or not that is the case or not, only time will tell. ( I hope your incorrect)

I got a grey chassis but I saw a black chassis and thinking of buying a backup!

Don't know yet! Haven't made reservations yet until we get a firm date and a good price on tickets.
Isn't there a hotel that giving discounts for the racers?
