58647 M-07 Concept Chassis Kit
– full model change !! new chassis [M-07 CONCEPT] appeared!
– to pursue a nimble driving performance of the front-wheel drive unique, high-performance electric RC car chassis assembly kit of which stuck to maintenance.
– mainframe a monocoque type of vertical split, better maintainability while ensuring the rigidity.
– in particular, the exchange of differential gear is reduced as much as possible the degradation point of the suspension, accessible from the bottom.
– suspension is double wishbone 4-wheel independent of CVA oil damper maintenance.
– arm and ringeji in the long of the specially designed products, setting wider to also feature.
– the drive system is configured without a loss, such as using a full ball bearings, oil-filled gear diff or universal shaft.
– monocoque type chassis with excellent maintainability by the vertical division.
– adoption of a broad long suspension arms of the setting width.
– full ball bearings, oil-filled type gear diff, universal shaft, standard equipment, such as high torque servo saver.
– M = 225mm, L = 239mm, 2 kinds of wheelbase can be selected.
– full length: approx 332mm.
– full width: approx 164mm.
No short wheelbase option? If accurate, disappointing.

Interesting info.
Does oil-filled diff mean differential from XV01 or something backwards compatible with M0x?
Long suspension arms? Finally
No S-wheelbase is little disappointing. But maybe reason is front motor layout?
I cant wait for pictures

I think it uses the diff from the TA06 if the Google Translate of http://www.rcmonkey.jp can be believed.

Well, this is surprising. A little early, by Tamiya standards. I'm hoping for two things: the same final drive ratio and similar overall track width. Other than that, giv'r hell.

Full details on the new kit can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/TamiyaUSA/

No short wheelbase option. All Rover Mini Cooper bodies are discontinued anyway.
Front diff used is from the rear of the TA-06, which is a gear oil-filled differential. You can also use the TA-06 rear locking spool if you so choose.
The main chassis is designed in the same fashion as the TA-07 touring car. The Tamiya designer designed both cars. If you want a clue as to the design theory look here: https://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radi...ssis-kit-58636

Four pinion options! Please, please, please let one of those give us a 5.8 FDR!

Thanks for the extra info, Fred.

Want 208-210 to fit my Mini Cooper bodies!!

Too bad it's not double deck CF, but diff accessible from the bottom is good news.

Hey guys!! I wanted to ask if I could possibly get some M-chassis advice. I am a retired M racer and haven't owned or had my hands on one since about 2005-06 when our track and LHS closed down, so I am out of the loop when it comes to anything to do with them now. I really, really miss owning one so I would like to buy another. What I want to do is build something really fast for wide open fun running in parking lots, BL powered and of course lipo. Now when I raced them I had an M-02 and M-03, and my biggest gripe with them is that you could only run shotgun style packs in them. Have they come as far nowadays for you to be able to run lipo packs in them? Also, what is the maximum KV motor that the most recent chassis diff/trans can withstand? Sorry for coming off as a noob, but as I said I have been away from the M chassis for a loooooong time.

There are shotgun type lipo packs. The M05 v2 chassis can take rectangular packs too.

Racing is rarely defined by KV, but by turns. I ran my M05 with a 17.5 and it was spectacular. It's got a 21.5 in it now, and it's still mighty fast. The biggest gear that it's designed for is a 20 tooth pinion. Now, the car is FWD, so it's hard to load up the drivetrain. I don't think there's any limit I'd really put on the KV I'd put in there. It'll just spin tires.

Don't lock the diff though...

.... I have a M05 for sale. If you want it, PM me. It's brand new, and has never seen a set of electronics. Then you get your choice of body and wheels. Upgrading it to M05 v2 spec is $10 or something.

What do you suppose a "titanium bis set" is?

I'm fairly sure Tamiya will want to make the 5.8 fdr available. Otherwise, they're starting a new class from scratch.

With the new 21.5t motors(200000kv) hitting the market today, the 5.8fdr might be too fast to control without traction rolling everywhere....Hopefully the tracks will stay short, and give the diehard brushed guys a chance when club racing....lol..

The 4 pinion options listed are just the 'new' ones. They already make a 20T so it doesn't need to be listed as one of the new options.
