What about the inside spacers in the shocks? Should i still have 6mm in front and 4mm in the rear or other?

Have no idea. Put in or take out enough spacers so that the overall shock length is 57 mm. You measure that from the top of the coupler on top to the bottom of the coupler on the shock shaft with the shock fully extended. The standard most people seem to use is 56mm, but I've found that it makes the handling a little erratic. Only for the highly skilled.

Having never run on your track, it's hard to get more specific than I've been. You'll be able to fine tune from there. These are some examples of things you might want to consider. You may like more steering than I do. In that case you can get more steering by lowering your front ride height or raising the rear. Or you can try decreasing toe out for faster steering instead. You can play with the servo speed and the steering curves in your Tx. There have been many Minis whose handling ills that have been "cured" with a few minor adjustments. On the M05, it's amazing the difference changing the front shock angle makes.

I've been away from Mini for a few years - and I recently picked up an M-03 thinking I'd make a shelf queen out of it. I've now found a track close that runs Mini, and I've learned there will be a TCS race close to me this year, so yep, I want to race it.
Since I've been away, I see that there is now an M03pro and an M05 (or something), and I don't know what else.... What "improvements" are there in the newer versions? Am I taking a knife to a gun fight with my old M03?

The M03 (R,pro or whatever) was just a blingy version of the 03. It had some good hop ups, but nothing unique. The 03 has been out of production for quite a while, but spares are easily found. The M05 is the replacement. Opinions are heavily split on which one is better. They share gears, lower suspension, uprights, knuckles, axles and a few other bits, but are completely different cars otherwise.

You may want to check TCS rules, in case they've decided to disallow the 03.

I recently picked up a m03r and was quite happy to with it, only to realize that here in Japan and I confirmed this with Tamiya, you're not allowed to race it in TSC!

So of cause I had to pick up a m05

Has anyone experimented with building more front droop into these cars?
Seems it would not be easy to do when trying to get the ride out down.
If you could get the inside wheel to droop down on corner exit it would help with drive and reduce the need for a tight diff. Just something I have been thinking about.

Actually, it's the other way around. You need less front droop and stiffer rear springs to keep the front inside tire on the ground....

I understand the stiffer rear springs would help, as would an anti roll bar, but not the part about less droop..

You might want to look at it this way. A mini is front wheel drive. Adding a lot of droop will increase the weight shift to the rear of the car. This is exactly what you don't want in a FWD. You lose front grip. What you're thinking may be just the ticket in a 4WD TC, but not for a Mini.

Here again, just my opinion, but drive out of the corners is an over rated quality. Corner speed is much more important. If you're getting around the corners with good speed, the forward momentum will decrease the tendency for diffing out. If you have good corner speed, ultra tight diffs are not necessary and flat cornering cars w/out aero do not have good corner speed.

Granpa is correct. Also, I tried anti roll bars, front and rear, and they did not Work as well as soft front springs with slightly stiffer rear with shocks drooped as much as possible.... I use red tamiya springs all over and tighten the rideheight screws to create a stiffer rear feel without changing springs.

Sorry for my smart ass answer. Frankly, am not the least bit interested in how fas y'all run. Most of us will never have the chance to race one another, so whether you're blindingly fast matters not a whit. That is, except to the guys you race against.

I'm more interested in whether what you post makes sense or is just BS

If you're too fast, you'll just get teched out of the podium.... Corner speed is the key, with no traction rolling....
