Now I know which car I will impatiently wait for.

This thing is slammed and the mass is very centered. Almost an entirely new design... not even sure what's happening in the rear yet. Serpent may have just solved my too many manufactures in my garage problem assuming this new rear end can be squeezed into a 12th scale.

Ok I’m interested. Been impressed with my other Serpents. Always room to add

Why the reason for such a big opening on the front end?

The opening is for the other servo position.

David Ehrbar with his S4 was really strong at Welkom. A very positive start for such a new design.

So how is that rear axle working? Artickle mentions "bearings" - maybe bearings in slots, which are hidden in side spring mounts?

The photo's are conveniently blurry in all the right places so it's pretty hard to tell but those spring mounts are very large - room for bearings/slots etc.

I just noticed this picture - it does appear to be a bearing inside a slot. Strong, simple, smooth, no tweak and more consistent geometry. Very nice.

Bearing
If it's designed and manufactured properly it will be incredibly smooth with no chance of seizing due to load bearing sliding surfaces. We'll see. I'm wondering if this is similar to what RSD has been testing?

If anything, it looked like David had a better car than Jan in Final 2 of the world cup. Jan seemed to be pushing the limits a bit more however and his car was a bit loose, while David seemed to have a more balanced race car.

I can't see the centre pivot design however and the screw pattern for the centre pivot looks quite different than what I would expect. It could be that centre pivot does not constrain fore/aft movement in which case the slots would have to be perfect. I was pretty sure an IF11 was in my future but this new Serpent is super exciting.

Yes David had the car to beat Jan. David's car looked more stable under braking and faster in the tight corners.
