Some details about the car:
Wheelbase: 210mm
Width: 165mm
Ground clearance (adjustable): 6mm
Weight: 950gr (track ready....)

Only run M06 a few times but I like M05 better, why ,
being front wheel drive some times you get taped on the rear on in field,
with front wheel drive you just keep your finger on the throttle and keep going if some one did that to rear wheel drive M06 it can spins you out.
We race mostly on carpet and the main car racing at my local UK carpet tracks is M05 outside the M03 seems to be the fastest.
Still early days for M06 and once drivers learn to setup M06 better then maybe it could be better.
Still think a M05 racing a M06 on the infield the M05 would come off better if knocked from behind
( a good mate of mine calls them Love taps
).
This is just my view and a lot of RC drivers will shoot me down for saying this.
I think racing Tamiya M05,M03,M06, I know a lot slower than our RC Touring cars but more like full size British Touring Car,
Only front wheel or rear wheel drive, you can race bumper to bumper, side by side lap after lap.
And great fun.

2011 M chassis Enduro!!!
Hello Everyone!
I am just leaving a quick reminder that the 2011 M Chassis Challenge is almost here. The date we have set aside is Saturday, July 16th 2011. The rules should be very similar to last year, as will be the schedule. Information will be available shortly on the Tamiya America website, (www.tamiyausa.com) along with the link for the sign ups. We are even going to do a POST race concourse on the cars that make it through. Entry fees will once again be $20.00 per team, with a maximum of 16 teams so get your entries in early! We had a full field last year and expect it this year! Once the info is posted I will let everyone here know. Thanks for all your support guys!

The black springs and the short whites springs are different hardness even though each set has a "red", "yellow" and "blue".

If I had to race, then as others have said the FWD is better because you always have people who likes to bump and run.

9T motor ?
Has anyone tried an Ezrun 9T motor in a M03 ? Is the gearing good enough to withstand it, and are the outdrives tough enough ?

My M06 is hanging on the wall, with no electronics in it or bodyshell on it. And that's likely where it will stay forever
It was fun to play with for a few hours, but we RACE, and for that it's not even close to being competitive down here.

To put it objectively, generally FWD will perform better outdoors or in lower traction situations, while RWD will dominate indoors or in high traction areas. This is, as stated, in general.

I agree with monkeyracing's post.
When I run my M06, it's on carpet with foams and the car is setup well. With the good grip, it's loads of fun.
When I run outside that's dusty/lower grip it's with the M03/M05.
FWD cars are less picky so there will be less frustration with poor handling.

It did wheelspin, alot. Invest in lots & lots & lots of tyres
also: mini outdrives seem alot more durable than some big $$$ 1/10 tc's outdrives.

TRF_414_M2, good idea. I considered it myself some time ago. One caveat - without a diff driving will be somewhat of a challenge and tire wear will be greater. It might work real good as a dragster though. I have 2 cars that use an outrunner where a center diff might normally reside-a 1/8 buggy/GT and a 1/10 TC. Don
