Yes. Tamiya even offers wheel spacers for the purpose. I widen my car front and back in most cases.

Either run the silver can, or the HobbyWing EZRUN 13T. With a 16T pinion the EZRUN 13T performs like a very good silver can on most tracks; with a 20T it performs more like a black can.

I remember you saying that you run the 3Racing oil diff in your mini without alteration which I find strange as the pitch on the 3 Racing gears is slightly off so it binds and makes a lot of noise as well. This has also been confirmed by talking to the owner of 3 Racing. He said the pitch is not correct

With that being said, my M03M was helped by using 1mm spacers on the rear and not the front. My M03L works best w/out spacers. Frankly, playing with the track of the car is probably the last thing I do. But that's because of the surface I run on.
My M05M "hates" me. I have thrown every set up I can think of on it and even resorted to copying other peoples set ups. Our local M05 "guru" worked on it for most of an afternoon and he could not get it any better. His car is "dialed" and mine remains a diabolical beast. It will be "destroyed" soon so that it may no longer torment me. It's to be converted back to a LWB car in which it was pretty decent. Not good, but decent. Maybe I'll give it another week cause I just thought of afew things that might work.

Sort of depends on the track surface. On all except hi-grip tracks like carpet. widening the front track will not help. And even this depends on what you're trying to accomplish. For guys like Jim, who runs on carpet, widening the F/R tracks may be a routine matter. For some one like me, who runs primarily on outdoor asphalt, it's an adjustment not commonly used.

Relax bring your mid out next time I am at the track and before days end you will be saying WOW I love the swift setup that swifty put on it. Oh and btw I have a package coming from K&G
You should kow what that means. Remember the swift is the over all fastest car at Tamiya and with some TLC you will be even fatser then you are getting now. I spoke to a past champ that will be running at the next Tamiya TCS here in Aliso its gonna be fun.

alternatives to 60D M-grips ??
Hi there.
After a bit of experimenting Ive found the best tyre setup for my 4WD m-chassis (yes , 4wd. Sorry)
good old M-grip/s-grip (front/rear)
Any good alternatives to 60D M grips that actually last ???
Me & my racing buddy are really chewing out the M-grips (just for fun races)
Ive tried Cross, Sweep, ABC, Tamiya 55 Slicks, 3racing, YeahRacing, foams. Still allways go back to m-grip/s-grip, by far the easiest drive.

You might need to have your MO5M exorcised. Must contain a mini demon.

Hey guys I have an m05(bought yesterday raced today) and im having servo saver issues. I purchased a hs-625mg servo but after a few races the servo saver decided that I was not to race anymore. I can spin the saver on the metal output of the servo easily with my finger so i grabbed the "extra"
I had but it seems to spin too just not as easily.What have I done wrong.
Please help a rookie.

By reading your post, I would hazard a guess that you have placed the wrong servo adapter onto the metal gear on the servo. You need to ensure that the adapter is for the servo you are using. Otherwise you may have stripped the adapter.
It is easy to use the wrong adapter when you are new, because you think it fits but it is slightly to big and loose. I know from experience myself.

Nice to see another different body shell , though the roof top decoration looks familiar
......I debuted my new M-05M last friday night, with a pretty decent result.
The car itself was going quite well as each race went on, only some rusty skills kept the car off the number 1 spot. Still, 3rd out of the 12 was a reasonable finish.
Once I get a a few more go fast parts and some fresh rubber ( I was using S.Powell's old rubber - 3 yrs old ??), she should be a formidable racecar......
I enjoyed my racing , with a great battle in the final with Carl. Looking forward to the next time out,
