Diff Build

Hi Guys / maybe some Gals
yep i know this question has been asked ohh so many times :weird:  but i cannot seem to locate the best way to build my TA-03 diff for my Mini
haha    i hear you say use the instuctions hahah
can someone please advise of the best lube to use and how tight i should make the diff  , i race on a rather tight ( 2 netball courts ) track
any help would be great

oh and how the hell do you guys get these things to go so dam fast with a sports tuned motor

Cheers
Warwick

diff tight as possible.

lube - any hobby grease will do.

how to make car fast? - not sure there my car very fast people dont think i got a black 540 but something else much faster.

they all have the fast hopups. end of day its down to the driver/setup. its not easy to get a mini dialled, coz limited tuning options. but once you hit the sweet spot its heaven!

also no tricks to the 540motor, not even run in, just take it to track and run it.

A source for alternative bodies

Found this site that has bodies that will fit M03 chassis. The V-12 and 1/12 scales are the ones that should fit. Some odd-ball stuff. I was shopping for RS4 mini bodies and couldn't find any.

Rick.........they are looking for the new Medium extension piece`s not the long.

rcboyz did have a part to make an M03 an M03M,

http://www.carttonic.com/catalog/ind...=0,13203,14263

I asked them about it a while back and they said they were going to make more. They never did. Sometimes you can find them on ebay, but now I think its better to wait a couple weeks for the Tamiya part. I hope Tamiya makes some more bodies for the M-cars. Obviously there is intrest.

Does anyone know if there is a weight or strength difference between the black and grey chassis.

rccardr 03-08-2006 05:29 PM

Black is better (but harder to find stateside). The silver chassis parts are softer because of the the additive they toss into the plastic in order to color it silver.

M-03 Setup sheet

Hi all, does anyone have a blank setup sheet for the M-03 chassis that they could post, or a link to one. Thanks

rccardr 03-09-2006 04:25 AM

Long cars (MO3M and L) are all black, short cars (MO3) are all silver...

Thats what it feels like to me using a very unscientific flex test (my hands)
Do you think they use the grey with the short wheelbase to allow some flex when there isn't an extender?
