I have both M03 and M04 chassis cars. If you are looking for hop ups you can get all kinds of aluminum hop up parts for both chassis. These are some of my cars I have a lot of upgrades on them. First is the Suzuki super 1600 M03M. The second car is an Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA M04.

Steel outdrive?

Who knows maybe they're made of Ubutonium since they're official Tamiya branded...everybody knows Tamiya made hop-ups are the best and unmatched...even their alloy pinions are better than steel Robinson Racing ones...LMFAO.
Or maybe just maybe they're *gasp* copying what 3Racing's been doing ie M05 ball diff is just a copy of the 3Racing one.

If they're not steel then they're probably just black anodized alloy ones. Unless they have some magical properties that makes them "NEW" and "Super Duper"...

I was looking to see what Mini bodies are currently available and easy to buy at hobby shops in the United States and came up with the list below. I realize this isn't a complete list of bodies available for the "M" chassis.
I listed the HPI Cup Racer "Mini" bodies, but I don't know how well they fit any Tamiya M Chassis car. The only HPI body that I know will work is the HPI Honda Civic body. On the HPI bodies I listed the front/rear offset since the Cup Racer allows you to individually adjust the wheel base/width when mounting tires.
210mm = Short Wheel Base (SWB)
225mm = Medium Wheel Base (SWB)
239mm = Long Wheel Base (LWB)
