First problem I can see is...taking the spacer out reduces the w/base to 225mm (MWB) and the 510 body is 210 I think?

from looking in the cup racer manual in the parts list in the back it says that the datsun 240z and 510 are both 225mm wheel base. looks like the wheelbase could be changed the fit the MINI bodies favored by you m03 swb guys. so that should be good I guess. was thinking on using a traxxas stinger 20T closed endbell motor. btw tony thanks for answering so quickly.

New from ABC Hobby, a much revised/improved version of their classic TE27 Corolla Levin Coupe shell.

Very nice indeed says I...

Hey Doc - when is the Glen Burnie race?

Default original Mini body

Hi,
not a mini racer, but need to get a body, the original mini, not the new one, for a car I have purchased for my former boss as a thank you gift. He is restoring a 1/1 mini, and I thought I would give him something to drive while he is in process.

any help as to a source, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alex

One of the guys from ABC Hobby USA brought a clear shell, along with the Supra body (MA70/JZA70) at Bending Corners Raceway. They both look very nice. He also brought a few K-cars, like the Mazda Autozam AZ-1, Honda Beat, Capuccino and Copen.

And just by way of some contrast from the really nice job ABC did on the Corolla Levin...

Check out these contributions from Colt to be released soon.

An appalling Chevy C10 and a slightly better 61 F100.

I've got nothing against the real cars, but these representations of them SUCK.

Isn't the point of 1/10 M-chassis to have a scale small car, such as the Rover Mini? In 1:1 those trucks are twice the size of a Mini!!

Scale in minis is sort of...non-existent. If you put a Tamiya VW Beetle next to my Colt New Beetle, the Tamiya absolutely dwarfs the Colt. It looks like a school bus next to a golf cart.

Besides that, Tamiya refers to them as being 1:10 scale, when they're actually closer to 1:12.

Bring on those wacky out of scale bodies! It can only get better or weirder.

El Bojaro- TCS is Sunday the 26th, but you ABSOLUTELY have to come down a day early for the Saturday Club Race Festivities: late start, racing well into the night, lights inside the cars, the whole shebang. I mean, it's Sensory Overload!

I'm sitting here looking at a new Sport Tuned black can, flourescent orange & yellow wheels & paint, a fistfull of bearings, a brand new tube of tire glue, contemplating buying an HPI Datsun 510 body.... and impatiently awaiting the arrival of the M05. Time is going by so slowly.
