All the the Tamiya aluminum shocks are the same in size and length. they are different by color and some of the aluminum goodies for them. And even the non threaded bodies are the same size and length.
And yes they will fit on the M03

At SoCal we have a high traction asphault track; most of the guys run a slight toe out 1 to 2 degrees. Cooper seems to go to neutral when the front dives, if you were neutral or toe in than it would be pretty severe toe in the turns. SoCal tracks are fairly technical so toe out seems perfered here.

So you guys are running on Tuesday nights? I might have to come down and run mine if I can get away from Tuesday night commitments. I usually race PanCar on Saturday nights but that class has not run for quite awhile.

Thanks for the shock info, tamiyarcracer! By the way, I made it down to SIR a few weekends ago. That place is great! Didn't have a chance to drive, but watching the races and meeting a few people was a good time. I hope to make it down there again in the next couple weeks for some practice. It'll be my first time driving on an onroad track, so should be fun.

Hi -

Would appreciate if anyone can let me know how to measure the front toe angel of the M03L, the standard touring car setup station (for 190mm touring car) does not seem to work. Thanks alot!!

What springs should I run ? I have a couple sets from a TC3 and they are shorter than the stock cooper ones , I have blue , yellow , silver . Any suggestions ? this is on a otherwise stock mini , except i am running foam tires . should it be stiffer in the front and soft in the rear , I just need a good starting point , then i will fine tune to my driving style . Also , is there a way to make the ride hieght lower when using the stock friction type shocks ? thanks .

people generally run stiffer in the front and lighter in the rear, coz about 80% of the weight is on the front end.

you can lower the car by putting orings below the shock pistons.

Madjack- Early word is that for 2006 the Mini class will be split into FWD (M03, M03L) and RWD (M04, M04L) so that they can compete against each other equally.
