Wow! Twins! Looks like you have the newer version, our stickers are different. I didn't know they changed!

Tamiya lost the license. That's it.

So... now we get other compact cars. I'm not really bent out of shape about it. :-)

Those stickers are not stock.. I print them myself to spice things up a tad. This one here won me an award at TCS

eR1c and Autostrada048 like this.

I’ve got a running mini for the first time in almost 2 years. It’s a shame the class died. Oh well, practice nights!

Now I need to find all the bits for my fwd touring car.

It’s hasn’t been very long since I built a mini, but I’m forgetting stuff already. Do the big bore shocks actually use different pistons? All the other stuff is the same, I know that much. Does anyone care to enlighten me? Maybe a part number?

NEVER MIND. FOUND IT!

So, next question. I’m doing up an M03 as a rally car. My M06 is looking at me from its place on the shelf, demanding equal attention. Has anyone rallied an M06? It seems to fragile to my eyes.

Yes, the big bore pistons are bigger. What was the part number you found? I've been looking for replacement pistons.

42332 for the black blank ones. 54728 for the while 4 hole ones. That’s all I’ve found so far. I’ll probably order the blanks.

Those are for the SSBB dampers. I think those pistons are yet another different size.

I believe the sizes are:
Standard: 10mm
Mini Big Bore: 10.5mm
Super Short Big Bore: 11mm

I think mine are super short...maybe.

EDIT: Had a look through the catalog. Could only find the one size. Must look harder.

The super short ones are off the TRF419. They're too short for mini.

No problem there. Only looking at pistons. I think I found the right ones.

Car is mostly together. Shocks ended up being about 62mm end to end. I got to thinking about tires and had a terrible idea. I’ve got all these RC4WD trail truck tires sized at 1.55, so they’d glue up to a mini wheel quite nicely. They’d be a teensy but giant overall, however, so I took my meds and moved on to the next bad idea.
