Well, if they continue to run a 24T pinion against 20T M03/5/6, of course the M07 will look good.
OVA and gigaplex like this.

Exactly, I would hope it would annihilate a M05 with a 20T! It certainly looks like it handles great. Maybe it was a somewhat weak motor?!

Where do you guys suggest to get Hop-Up parts for a MO-5V2? I am looking for a ball diff. TRF? shocks, and a few Alum. suspension bits. None of my local Hobby shops carry much in the way of Tamiya parts.

TQ Racing carries most everything for the M05.

no, not true - any pinion can be used, the spur and idler gear HAS to be Tamiya

Any manufacturer’s radio equipment, servo saver, antenna pipe, antenna mount, pinion and spur gear, ball bearing, tire insert are allowed in all classes, unless exceptions are noted within class specific rules.
6. Tamiya internal gears only. Aftermarket idler and spur gears are not legal.

Any suggestion's for a ball diff. for a Mo-5 V2? Tamiya has two I believe, which would work better on Asphalt? I have been looking thru a lot of posts and haven't really gotten a answer. Thanks for any info.

Mine should be here by Monday! Just finished building a buggy. I'll need this weekend to clean up my bench.

I used to always be a huge fan of a ball diff on asphalt. Recently I tried a stock gear diff with 3 washers per side, a bunch of AW grease and set pretty darn tight. It was just as good as a ball diff in the fast corners, but would track way straighter and more predictable.

You'll get a bunch of opinions, but this setup made me a believer
