I like running lwb. Nowadays unless you're a Mazda fan there aren't too many choices. Having a mini body available for sale is an option I cannot pass up. Just the time to paint it and trim the body.

Silver can motor, bullet motor connectors, and the infamous Tamiya battery connector.

Hey Tamiya, it's 2017. Can we bring the electrics into this century?

But we need to be backwards compatible.

Honestly, the fact they've hung on for so long, means you can just swap parts anytime you need. Solderless installs is "nice".

.... now I hard wire everything except batteries. So I am not their target for that.

Tallest readily available tires are 60mm in diameter. Most of the standard Tamiya Mini tires are this size.
If you want taller then you'll need to go to Touring Car wheels/tires

What kind of rookie build is this BS??? Just playin' bro!

If anyone else is looking to grab an M05 roller for this season, I just posted the woody chassis for sale here in the classified forum.

Does anyone have a setup for a M05 running outdoors asphalt on S-Grip tires. Track gets sprayed with some kind of sugar water. Thank you.

Maybe this could do the trick:

Tamiya mini cooper-img_1166.jpg

Tamiya Team Hahn Euro Truck Racing Tire (OD 70mm) fit the M-chassis wheels spot on.

This is the setup I used a few weeks ago at our TCS regional. Worked really good, just needed a warm up lap to warm up the tires to get the rears to stick. I used a set of tire warmers on just the rears and it was good right away.

I forgot to note on the setup, I had 1.25 oz of lead in the hollow area behind the servo and my overall weight was 1364 grams. Also, I did not need to put any compound on the tires on race day.

The track was sticky, so I'm assuming they sprayed it with some sugar water or soda.

Hope this helps.
