For those running the TCS races. What body is preferred for the lwb chassis. I ordered and received 2 Mazda RX7 . Just wondering is there any other choices. I have discontinued bodies too. A JCW and a Toyota bb. I guess the last two are not allowed anymore
The Mini/BMW JCW seemed to be the preferred body ..I believe all the top 3 drivers ran that body at the last TCS championship. I ran that body for 2 seasons and loved it. ...now that its discontinued I am thinking I may switch to mid wheelbase and the CRX body. ..not liking any of the other LWB bodies all that much. Yep, I still have some JCW bodies NIB too. ...trying to find out if my club will allow them to be used or not.

What about the TA03 diff?

What about the TA03 diff?
Look on page 11 of the M05 manual, it shows/states that the TA03 ball differential is an option part that is available for the M05.

The rules state that any part by TAMIYA made for the particular M model your running is legal. ...so it must be made for your car. I.e. just because its made by Tamiya doesn't mean its legal.

I am not a TCS judge or rule maker, BUT this is how our club has always followed the rules as we understand them. Must be by Tamiya and must be for your M model car. (no swapping and converting M06, TT02, or F104 parts onto an M05 for example)

i know you are asking this question in a sarcastic/rhetorical manner....

we both know it's legal...but eric there has to prove to us that he knows the rules verbatim and is able to spew them out on a whim.

hahahaha.... y'all make me chuckle

Sorry, I didn't know that he knew the TA03 diff was legal. I may have missed a few posts? He asked the question and I was sincerely trying to be helpful.

In any case, I take a bit of offense to your comment about me, ...its a bit uncalled for. Sorry if I have annoyed anyone else was just trying to be helpful.

wanna see my car? look at post #2320. M03 (local club race champ) we didn't go by TCS Rules.
it's also in other posts...somewhere in and around the pages of the 150s.
sorry if you're offended i didn't mean anything by it.
just funny to me when people point out rules as to what's legal and not.

monkeyracing is a rcTech elite... he knows what's legal and what's not.

I love the fact that we DON'T have TCS in Aus so we don't have to worry about Tamiyas stupid ruleset!

thats awesome! i'm sure it makes things a lot more interesting.

tamiyas rules aren't stupid, i actually like them....i just wish everyone obeyed them.

i admit, my M03 was never legal...i never used tamiya bearings, motors, screws, shocks, suspension arms, wheels/tires/bodies, universal shafts, and many other parts. at my club, nobody's car was ever legal.

i'm surprised that SIPABOY still posts on this thread, since he's the one that started it over 10 years ago!

No worry,

I did state that I wasn't a TCS judge and that those were the rules our club followed. Just trying to be helpful here, that is what these forums are for ..trying to share knowlege and be helpful.

all good, kind of busy with work anyway so I should probably take a bit of a break from this site as it is.

are you still using M03?.

so if a body is discontinued, it's not allowed anymore? i can't believe this to be true.
