Tamiya mini cooper

I've got some ridiculous 2.5t motor you should try out. Probably pretty zippy.

Another M05 is about to join the household. Guy at the track is selling a V2 ARTR just needed a steering servo. My little girl comes along to the races and sits so patiently watching that it was about time she got her own car and got racing.

Anyone using a shorty pack in their M05 V2? How do you find it?

I did at one time, but went back to regular sized lipo's.

Kind of defeats the purpose of owning a M03..

Only if your purpose was not to have any fun messing with it. Plus, I collect oddball parts.
Something else I'm wondering is if I can get my 03 to handle as cleanly as my 05. From the first time I drove a box stock 05 in 2009, I knew it was a very different car than the 03. Maybe some of that balance will translate.

The m03 is faster than the m05 with the correct electronics/setup/body ,etc.... Hopefully Tamiya will make a m03 aluminum screw set, carbon fiber hinge pins, thin gears, low CG round lipo, golem inspired mini body,etc.......

Why would Tamiya make any of that stuff, especially for an old model car that has already been replaced? And as has been mentioned to you many times, carbon fibre hinge pins are a terrible idea on the track.

Golem styled body? Now I know you're messing with us, Bert.
It's a nice dream, but I can't see why Tamiya would invest anything in a car that was "replaced" 7 years ago. Frankly, I'm a little surprised someone hasn't come up with a 3D printed solution for the square battery pack/M03 dilemma.
Sorry to leave you hanging about that steering things guys. Hung up in hospital and they won't let me move my workbench in here.

Tamiya has brought back many models over the years, and a
M03 EVO MS X would be great ....lol... I still feel the new lightweight servos and bodies can make the M03 competitive , but I guess they might not all be tcs legal.....Cheers.....

At the tamiya track the m03's are just as fast/competitive as the m05's. The question is how long they will remain legal for tcs.
