Wow, it is truly sad to hear that Grandpa is no longer with us. One of a kind racer and mentor. Life is so short fellas. Race more and make more friends.

So, I've got this 3.5T 10,500kv motor sitting here in front of me and an utterly irresistible urge to stuff it in a mini. Just saying.

I have a similar dilemma. 8.5T 4000KV brushless combo, or stick with the mechanical speed controller... Not quite as extreme as yours, but considering my starting point it's still noteworthy

Main roadblock is I have no batteries that fit the chassis

Please take pictures of "before" and "after". Because there won't be much left to take a picture of in the "after".

I wonder how long of a straight you would need to get a FWD m-chassis to get up to its full 10.5kV speed?

.. don't for get the space you'd need to brake!

There is a whole thread on here from guys who just spend their time compairing notes for tuning their tc's to make them go super fast. If I remember the fastest guy on here got his up to 168mph! On a quarter mile! I'm wondering if anyone tried to do (not saying 168mph. Tho) get their mini to approach light speed?
Anyone know?
There has to have been someone out there that tried!

You don't know anyone that would let you borrow one for alittle while to try?

The RC-mini guys did this with one of their velodrome minis. The insides melted!

I've gone as low as 5.5? With a 16t pinion. No chance of top speed on a 70' straight, but braking stands the car on its nose.

Nic Case broke 200mph last year. That as a years long, heavily sponsored, custom built effort. The fastest mini I know of was 116kph (72mph). This was more likely a years long, beer fuelled, spur of the moment thing.

Wow, that is crazy power. Yeah, even with 4WD m-chassis that will be way too much power for a 70ft straight.

RC-junkyard - I've bought new TBLE02-S for around $25 shipped on eBay in the past. I recommend the Hobbywing JustStock ESC (XR10) if you just need a basic ESC for your brushless motors. It can handle sensorless motors too.

Yeah, but from my experience, the TBLE02S works great on Mabuchi cans if geared mildly (standard, Torque Tuned, Sport Tuned), but gets real hot too easily with even 21.5T brushless. The only brushless motor that worked fine from the motors I have was the Thunderpower 21.5T, but I don't think they sell these any more.

It tries to thermal shut-down often so the power is inconsistent while running brushless.

EDIT: BTW, did you get your servo saver situation taken care?

I thought this was the one they ran with the 16t at TCS. Shows hat I know.

I took my servo saver(s) apart, reassembled them in the sadly the same manner and they work properly now. No idea of how or why.

i assembled my m05 pro v2 and it seems many small parts are missing, shims and some screws
and if i assembled the steering linkage as per the manual, the wheels point slightly left.

If your wheels r pointinf left , do you mean they are toed out ? If so you want them toed out a bit , the adjustable linkage behind should have a gap of 2mm by memory
