Here's another ad I found if anyone's interested. New M03 $125 reserve comes with spare body without decals, bearings, etc check it out. If I didn't have my M03 already, I would be pretty tempted.

That seems like a pretty good deal. I've been wanting a new M03 for a shelfie, mine looks like it has been to war

Go for it!

I need to get me just a new chassis for my M03 as I did so much cutting on it in the past fitting the electronics inside the halves (which barely made any difference anyway ). I want to go back to the stock look + hopups I already have for it.

Thanks, patorz31!

Does any of the blogs say when they expect to release this kit?

I might get it and just lower the suspension, swap out to M-chassis wheels/tires to see if I can fit a (you guys guessed it) Rover Mini body on it.

You guys were right-on about the M01 having shorter sidewall tires! Swapped wheels and tires and my M01 body now sits nice and snug on my M05. Dropped the body height one hole worth too for a nice lowered ride look. Thanks again!!

(Using the narrower 12mm hex hub).

While digging for foam inserts, I came across a foam tire set with Cooper chrome wheels I bought like 20yrs ago still in its original packaging. So going to try that on my new basement track.

If this test goes well, time to seriously look at pancars this Fall.

The MF-01x really does look like a mini TL-01! Still don't think we're looking at a race car.

Sakadachi,

Can you post photos of your basement track? Curious what kind of setup you can get out of your basement? ...We don't have basements where I live ..so I am a bit envious!

I feel the same. Within this morning and this afternoon, the funds for this car went to a brand new Mini-Z 458. I'm going to pass the MF-01x for now, and work on fixing up my M03.

Oh it's a mess still in my basement as I am not done yet re-organizing my storage space. But I shall take a pict soon. The track itself is clean though.

So I tried the foam tires on the track. Good grip! But I remembered why I didn't use these... BLACK DUST all over the car! My poor brand new M01 body.. I cleaned it all off with my microfiber towel. So no pancar for me unfortunately. Will see how the Mini-Z's do and if they aren't that great, I am going to work on my MicroRS4. It's still using an ancient AM receiver with speed control built-in. Glitch mania...

Oh I forgot to ask. Do you guys remember if the foam inserts used on the M01 tires were thinner than the M03/M05 foam inserts? I ask because when I put my M05's inserts the tires kinda bulged. I've not glue them yet for this reason... Shall I run them without the foam inserts?

Found part numbers.. they are different.
53204 M01 foam insert
53255 M03 foam insert

The M01 inserts are absolutely puny compared to the 03/05s. I thought I was doing something wrong trying to stuff the 60 tires the first time

Thanks for the confirmation, leadfoodedfool. I placed an order tonight for the M01 inserts. Oh well, I guess I will use the foam tires until they arrive, or just drive my other cars. Need to work on my M03 anyway.

Hi guys,

I'm sure this has been covered before but I couldn't find an answer. I keep breaking drive shafts. What style and brand do people recommend?

Cheers
Ryan
