Hi
I wish to update my M05 to V2
I know I'll need the chassis 54605
but some one said something about needing a spacer etc?
What size spacer and where does this go to please??

Also is there any thing else needed ? Update to the new arms?
Many thanks

Chassis, hinge pins, 3x6mm set screws for setting droop on the arms, motor mount, 1.5mm spacers for the motor screws, and arms.

I got mine, because I love my 206b so much. Given perspective, purchasing a second 206b would have been much more economical. Even buying a pair of 206 or 106 chargers would be more economical and saved space in the pit bag, as well.

It's an awesome piece of kit and the color screen is neat, but the single channel units from iCharger are beautifully engineered and are among the best chargers in the world.

That said, be sure to buy from Progressive RC or Buddy RC. I wouldn't trust Hobbyking to be carrying 100% genuine product.

Thanks, monkeyracing! So I should stick with the 206b or the 106b?
I also noticed some stores sell the 106b+

I don't plan on attending any racing events. I am merely doing this for hobby now, not competition. I have enough headache already, I don't need any more challenges!

Thanks, Madulla. If I was to charge a 5000mAh 2S Lipo, I would use 1C (5A), correct? That would take me like 1hr 12min, no? Are we okay to charge at higher rates than 1C?

I guess my questions is, would it be wiser for me to just get two units of 106B+?

I don't like babysitting batteries charging. My power supply is rated 25A. I can run two 106B+'s at the same time at 5A charge rate, correct?

Wow, that's a nice setup you got there, Des!

I thought you weren't supposed to charge Lipo's while in your car?

Thanks!

I'm always present while my lipos are charging & charge at a 2C Max rate so no worries for me while charging.

On the M-05 my lipo is taken out as I can't charge on the car with the lipo being taped in..etc

Oh, I see! Thanks for the tip Des. In this case I can cut down the charge time to about half.

I am assuming 2C max is still a balanced charge, correct?
Sorry for the newbie questions. I honestly don't know Lipo's yet since I have been away for 15yrs.

So I will be using 2C (10A rate for my 5000mAh) so will go with the 206B to have extra headroom.

I use Dean connectors, so I suppose a male Dean connector and Lipo charge bags.. what else to get?

If you're ordering from progressiveRC you can add the deans charge lead & the balance board you'll need.

I purchased the combo with case so it came with the balance Board for JST connectors & I just added the nice Deans charge lead

In that pic you will also see the balance board extension for the 4S lipo. But if your charging out of the vehicle you won't need any extensions
