It may seem counterintuitive, but try red springs up front, with blue at the rear. The V2 does tend to be a little tail happy. Try running the rear a tiny bit higher than the front.

Sure. The rear wheels have toe-in.

For carpet, it is normal to use additive, it will make a real difference. I wouldn't change any settings until you have run the additive.

I would ask at the track. There will be plenty of relevant experience there.

Personally I use full width on all four tyres but most of the people I race with use less additive on the front, however I have my car set up with a lot more steering than most people.

I was given a set of touring car shocks. Not really sure what they are, but they are aluminium and seem ok. Can these be used on a mini with modification? What would I need to do?

you'd need to either a) add spacers under the piston to shorten the shock; or b) see if the shorter m-chassis shock shafts work with them.

With my first mini I ran a set of the plastic tamiya tc shocks for quite a while with decent results. I finally gave in and bought the trf mini shocks. But they did work with spacers under the position to shorten them up a bit. If memory serves I started with 1 5mm and 1 2mm spacers under the position for my starting point.

You need to go soft spings in back and medium to hard up front. If that works better but not quite enough try changing oil. 50w front and 40w back.

i actually run 40w front and 30w in back. but im not using Tamiya springs.

Can;t seem to find a v2 anywhere in stock, so thought abount converting my v1 Pro. I think it's just the chassis, motor mount and arms, but I can't find them...

The carbon reinforced L parts are going to make the F parts (uprights, c hubs) more suceptible to breaking. They should have also released carbon reinforced F parts.

What's the opinion on Sweep 33s on medium grip carpet, using an 05? 33s have worked for me in the past, but that was primarily on an 04.

Perfect choice. Make sure you put some glue on the front sidewalls and off you go! Been using these for a long time and very happy with the results. You can also use the 25s on the rear, I know I do. I recommend a Sweep medium insert F&R. Go to soft and you'll get the funny tire wear line on the edges of the tread.

They're a great option to the (more expensive) Tamiya M or S grips, which also work well on carpet.

Thanks. Hopefully they last longer, too. I thought I'd purchase enough S Grips to get me through the season. At the rate they're wearing, I'm likely to run out by mid-January.
