tried it, didn't work.

Found was the 2 bearing in the middle that's rubbing the derlin. so when I try tighten the diff, pressure was on the bearing instead of the little balls.

Manufacture defects!!! I wasted 2 night trying to fix it.

Rest of the car was great.
well, the battery may fall out I heard so need use tape.

I hope Altas understand english.

You might have damaged the derlin outdrive by putting extreme force when you try to adjust it previously.

I have two of the derlin outdrive and they work perfect with my "own method".

Yes the battery brace is too soft so that the battery falls out easily. If you have the later batch of the Type T kit, there should have extra two holes on the edge of the right side. Use the extra servo mounts from your V1R kit, drill a new hole on the plastic block and fix it on the chassis. it will stop the battery from pop out.

Tks for the advise
bought new outdrive yesterday to test, didn't work. Frustrated, hv to practice before the weekend big race.

I don't have holes on my, but was told to use VIR "L" shape plastic ( very strong)and screw on the batt holder plate. It seems to work.

I take it this DIFF problem is on the YM-34T ? I was thinking about getting the plastic diffs for my YM-34v3 and wait a while on getting the new T. You know some cars have problems when there new..Like the HPI PRO3, well it still has its problems.lol

I don't think is the design problem. The Altas team drivers was here in HK racing on the weekend and they had no problem with the diff.

I also re bult my again, putting thicker glue ( still super glue but the gel type) on the diff ring and now I can adjust it to what I want.

Cool

Well I see that Integy finally got the new atlas in stock. I was hoping for it to show up after the new year since I just got the new 16x9 charger last week. So I'll have to deal with the old v3's for this year..Laters time to hit the track..

We have them in Hong Kong already. I think integy.com have them in stock as well.

Haven't driver the old version, but this car is really good. quality is excellent, and easy to work with.

Check out the Altas web site to see what the team driver did to the top deck and the steering links. The changes will help more when you use rubber tires.

Compare to Yok TCSP, this is just as good but easilier to work with.

As for set-up, I think is best to use what the fastest guy use on the tires and use standard set-up. If you need to change set-up, try different tires first then use the set-up to SUIT your driving.

good luck,

Kansasracer....I race in Wichita, KS and may be looking for a new sedan in the future. What are you driving right now and have you seen any of the new Atlas cars yet? Did you run the last Atlas and if you did what are your thouhgts.

PLus this summer you will have to come to Wichita, we havea great parkinglot type program with comp scoring. Let me know what racing you guys have going on up in KC area...we are always interested in a road trip.

Jeff, the Atlas YM34 V3(not the new one) is a great car, it just needs shimmed up because there is lots of slop on the hingepins/arms...I dont know why I ever left that car, it won me my first b main and I have been running A main alot with my new cars but that car was fast. Great carpet car because of its low internal ratio, fast accel. Also I never broke any parts, I had 2 of them.

Jeff,

Right now I run an Atlas and a xxxs. THe atlas has all the one-way stuff in it, so I run it on outdoor tracks. My friend, gospeed, has the atlas without one way stuff and loves his.

I run a xxxs, mainly because the fastest guy at our indoor track runs one, and I had been looking at it for a while.

My in-laws live in Wichita, so I'll make it down there often this summer...

I know of a very well maintained Atlas used if you are looking for one...he is selling it 'cause he is getting a new atlas

WE have carpet racing every Sun starting the 6th. I think our outdoor season will start in May...
