This is a subjective comparison, but mod rubber on huge, open carpet tracks looks way more reasonable than mod foam on tiny carpet tracks. It seems like part of the reason guys don't move up is because even stock foam is faster (in lap times) than mod rubber, and mod foam is, well, insane. I agree, the US drivers are falling behind in that sense, but if foam was the big thing over there on tiny tracks like we've got in the US, would all these new guys really be stepping up to mod?

That said, I found this race far more interesting than any of the big foam races we've got going on here.

Got to agree that they seem to be racing on track sizes more appropriate for the speeds of the car and it really does separate the classes better speed wise.....IMO we don't need to go that big but u.s. tracks need to go towards that direction size wise.

This shows that slower speeds combined with better handling cars due to lower weight (5 cell) is the way to go for better racing.
Awesome race. Good battle towards the end, too bad Jimmy didn't give the guy his position back after rolling him over coming on to the straightaway.

It is great to see the new guys doing well. They seem to move up through the ranks and eventually reach the top level. We need to start seeing this in the U.S. instead of the new guys stalling out in 19T. We continue to fall further behind with every passing event.

Pretty sure 5 cell killed brushed. I don't believe they can make run time with brushed motors.

If he would have given him his position back neither one of them would have won the race. You can tell he thought about giving it back by waiting for him but them 3 cars were charging so he had to go. I think he did the right thing.

Disagree. As he didnīt wait, he should have a stop & go.
It was wierd in the last final as well, when the referee told him to go after he fipped over the barriers, and never got the car back on the right side.
Not very fair to the guy behind who should won that final....

Jimmy did wait. As both drivers were entering the last set of corners before the straight, the other driver touched Jimmy and kept his lead, then jimmy touched him on the last corner before the straight, and, unluckily, he rolled.

And by waiting on the straight for him to catch back up, he did not deserve a stop and go.

He did not wait for the car he punted.. It was another car that got by.. The car he punted was still upside down..
