I guess to each thier own. I ended up chaning many parts due to bendage and breakage and stiffness.

So after reading thru all of the answers and going thru the parts of the larger thread, the only parts everyone keeps on the pro are:

differentials
transmission parts (belts, gears, etc...)
universals
bearings
shocks
suspension hing pins
balls and ball cups
chassis (maybe)
bumper and body mounts

...just about every other part gets tossed. I think this project is going to reach 417 cost levels before I'm done!

red are items that are also changed. I personally run a ball diff in the rear and spool up front. Many run gear diff rear and spool front.

lw universals are swapped in the rear, so we only usually keep 1/2 the universals.

417x is about $620. Even if you buy a pro and change EVERYTHING to carbon, it will be around $360. Still no where near $620. If you buy the exotek and "test" quie a bit, yes, it will surpass the 417x. I know i have

I am factoring in the costs of the titanum screw set, turnbuckles and the aluminum steering components as well. I can find a stainless steel screw set for a lot less so that should save some dough.

I do actually want it to be TCS Legal so the Exotek is out (on a side note, I do like the one I have installed in my TA-05 ver.II)

I guess I will start the parts acquisition process...

Apart from suspension blocks and springs plus a front end brace, I haven't changed anything to stiffer parts etc, running on carpet, on foams with additive, never felt the need to. I didn't even put sway bars on either, and to be honest, it is the best car I have driven, it does everything I want in a car.

I suggest anyone buying one, buy the Pro and put the right suspension blocks and springs on and try it before you go splashing the cash.... Only thing I would like to replace, is the rear diff, mainly to keep the oil on the inside of it more often.
