Oh man, stop with the old memories already! lol. I started racing in '86 with a Tamiya Blackfoot. :P

Remember the:
-Fiberglass shock towers made by JG Manufacturing? Those things looked like they were 1/4" thick.
-A arms made by Andy's? Before they started making bodies.
-The 'world champion' Kyosho Ultima? My dad started racing one of those, on carpet, in early '87.

I still have, in a pile on the floor next to my desk, an issue of RC Car Action from Nov. '89, which covered the off road nats, and a shootout between the original RC 10 and the 'newcomer' JRX2. That's not the oldest issue I still have in a box somewhere. I also still have a box full of parts for the original JRX2/JRXT black transmissions. Could probably build 2-3 trannies from parts. A couple of guys showed up last weekend at the local indoor track with some original gold tub chassis RC10's. Wow, the advances in technology 20+ years has brought!

These and 1400's of the same colored heat shrink+charge cord+12v car battery= swollen cells, split heat shrink, and 3 minutes and 41 seconds of RIP, and needing a push to the finish line!!

Man those were the days. I would kill for a NIB AE T2. I had a 10T with the flat graphite w/molded in kickup chassis that KILLED back in the day. I unfortunately havent been able to keep alot of my old R/C goodies. Separation+ticked off soon to be ex+garage sale=

A full-on restoration identical to my first JRX2, complete with period-correct vintage radio, ESC, Race Prep stocker and Team Smooth SCRs—just the way I ran it back in '88. I LOVE the old stuff. This is just one of the collection.

I love that he's even got the old stickers. Do you have a body and wing for that thing yet? Need to paint it up in an old school striped scheme.

Yup, correct V-wing and everything. It will get a vintage paint job worthy of ol' Gil very soon...
