It looks like Novak's 380 brushless system has been finalized. The ESC looks great in clear and black, which is a nice departure from the old colors.

So, even though this system is called "micro," this could be interesting for on-road racers, especially those running 1/12. There's been a lot of talk lately that a switch to 380 sized motors in 1/12 might be the way to go. Could this system be the first real step in that direction?
Also, for those of us running the 540 13.5, can this ESC handle it?
As much as I like to give Novak a hard time, they have done an outstanding job of bringing technology to R/C faster than anybody else, and this system seems to follow that trend.

I see no reason to switch 1/12th to the 380 size motor. What reason would you want to change a class that has been around the longest with such great success. Leave these 380 size motors to the 1/18th cars.

anything is possible physically. whether or not it can handle it electrically is another issue..
I don't see a reason to switch sizes. Basically you would be putting another barrier in the way. Why would I buy a 380 system specifically for one car if i can't use it in any of my other roar racing electric cars. Now its just more shtuff to stock up on.

I could be completely off the mark here, but I'm guessing this idea of 380's in 12th is more of a "fix" to get Lipo in 12th. No?
Mongoose looks cool though.
