Fair enough Craig, and mate you wont be dissappointed. I never left racing xray's because they didnt perform, but more so for the support and options i was given with TOP. I just thought i'd give it a mention, its a superb car and one that is certainly making a name for itself here, and i can only see things getting bigger and better.

I'm sure you'll be very happy with the T2'007 though!

It would have been hard to argue against a TC5 based on rubber tire results in the last 18 months or so.

The XRAY T2'008 was released on 11/28/2007 and hit hobby shops a couple weeks later.

I have to second what xray racer said. I haven't met anyone who owned an XRAY that didn't love it. I would buy pretty much anything made by XRAY. The extra cost is worth it over the long run.
I help run RCXRAY.com, an online store where XRAY fans buy their RC cars & kits.

I would say the xray 008, you will not be held back by the chassis design. that is the best for carpet foam.

If you want to run rubber tires, I hear good things about the moore edition cyclone and I personally run the tc5.

There is a pool of about 8 cars that are all competitive but here are the newest rides.

xray 008
corally rdx phi

those are the cars you will see win the major portions of races this year. They have the biggest factory support.

Steer clear of the team magic and the losi. I think you will see big improvements in the new generations of center battery cars, and I wouldn't jump on that ship quite yet.
