I run mine in a 540 johnson class and every Gram counts, it can make the difference from a 20 sec lap to a 19 sec lap, those motors are so fickle when it comes to racing, any Joe can put in a mod motor and go quick, but with 540, tuning becomes critical. Maybe it time to can the 540 and go mod.

Does anybody run the GT3 anymore nowadays?

The central motor chassis seems to be making a come back, judging from a few drift conversions/chassises:

I am looking at a cheap offer 2nd hand. But what i am concerned with is parts availability/compatibility. The previous owner told me that the pulleys are interchangeable with TA04 and the diffs with TA05.

I guess the safest way is to buy a TA05 and buy the drift conversion from rc-race-and-drift.com but that would cost a lot of money.

Could somebody tell me more. Thanks.

Try here, if you really want, first try to e-mail:

But i personally think their stock is almost empty or vanished.

check out www.modeltech.co.uk and give Mike a call or email he will be very helpfull. I'm 99% sure that all parts are available except alloy diff outdrives.

Great cars. Plus with Lipo saddle packs now available i'm sure a few will hit the tracks again.

Does anybody know what belt length to use with these centre pulley/diff pulley:
-16/36
-18/37
-18/39

Does anybody know if TRF416 diff joint can fit the RClab? If not which other diff joints from other cars can fit this?

I believe there's 3 different belts offered for the 3 different belt/pulley set up.
Xpress Pro diff will work too if Tamiya ones not around.

Hi All........ Thread Revival!!!

Just thought Id join and see if anyone on here, new or original posters still have their little Lab(radors) sat around or still in use?

Im over in the UK and back in the day use to be a team driver, recently had the pleasure of getting my old lab out again and had a great time running it!

(tired to add a photo but have to reach a limit of posts first)

Running brushless 17t went awesomely and looking forward to running it again.

Ive enjoyed reading all 93 pages over the last few weeks/months! Interesting to see pictures and parts that cross fitted etc...

If anyone reads this...Hello! looking forward to see if any other survivors out there!? And also interested to see if anyone has any bits related to the cars lying around they would like to sell?

Cheers
Chris

Whoa....this is an old thread. I used to own several RCLab 7even 6.0 Pro II sedans and they were great fun. Sold everything off way back in 2004 though. Does this brand even exists today?

Nope doesnt exist anymore, the guys who ran it lost interest and it folded, I think in a few years retro tourers the lab will be a great one to run!

Wow a blast from the past here. I've still got 3 cars and load of spares. I ran mine at a club about 6 months ago and it was still great fun to drive

Cool! Yep Ive got my main 7.7 with a few extras on it a part built 7.6 which was my first and the other month managed to buy a spare 7.7 which is stripped down for spares. Also got many unopened parts including a few alloy hop ups

As soon as I can post photos I will do!

Ahhh epic thread necro!

I have a GT3 pro I built but never ran. I was going to convert it into a drift machine and still tempted too! Messed up one of my steering hubs and all my spares in the UK, but me and GT3 are in Hong Kong ...

Stunning pieces of engineering for their day IMO. Mike did some awesome work of representing in the UK including the creating the 1 piece layshaft (which I was lucky enough to get a hold of one).

So is the above true TA05 diffs are drop in?

Being in Hong Kong you might have a chance of locating some random spares? Im really eager to put some photos up of my kit lol, Diffs might work, I know the YR4 Yoke ones should and the xpress Pro ones do (which are still available on their website, in plastic or metal!)

Ive just ordered some YR4 driveshafts (steel ones) as I broke two lab ones on Sunday on the front, running a spool indoors (think the spools are quite rare also!) I need to buy some xray t1/2 driveshaft blades and modify the diff outdrives to take them, make things last a little longer!

I know the tamiya 17t pulleys fit, Ive also just purchased 3racing alloy one to see if that works out of interest, it should do as its grub screw 4mm hole dia.... Ive never seen the layshaft your talking about!?

Also got a 3racing 17t pulley oneway unit to see if that can be located in place, wondering how that will work with the spool, may need to revert back to diff at the front!

A little tip for the diffs. If you have a type B plastic diff you can use the collar on the alloy ones to help reduce wear.
What spares are you guys looking for I have loads of stuff?
