Default As a new Seven Even 6.0 Owner, what do I need to know?

I just mailed off my money order to pick up a nearly new Seven Even 6.0. Is there anything that I need to stock up on? A-arms etc, etc. Is there anything special that you have learned about set up? I am going to start out by racing it on a tight track, smooth of concrete.

well, if you are going to be racing on a tight track, and it isn't coming with one, you might want to get a front diff since it comes with a front one-way....I was gonna get one of these cars a while back, if I remember correctly, the 5.2ttt had the stronger arms etc..

Your asking me if theirs would be better...........LOL.
I suggest that you will have to wait until it actually becomes available.

It goes rather well too......

Default How the heck are you putting together your packs?

I have all my saddle packs from my Street Weapon, they are not fitting nicely in my RC Lab Seven 6.0. How do you do it? Do you use Corally style connectors, so that you can take your packs apart into several pieces?

Please let me know so that I can get all the pieces that I need so that I can race my car on the 6th.

Hey Cmotif,

I have mine sitting nicely. The tip to this is,before I put the battery hold down I had used a battery strap from race tech(velcro type) to strap my batteries in the chassis slots and making sure they sit in properly before I solder them together with the bars. Now that the batteries are soldered nicely together, now you have 2 halfs.3&3. connect them by using half an inch of wire and solder them together.+ side to the - side .Now This is from looking at the battery from the rear of the car.On the L/s of the battery frt should be + and r/s -.Now you may solder the battery barrows on the battery terminal.Use banana plugs from your hobby store or from radio shack. They have some good heavy duty ones I used.
The center wire joining the packs together can be lengthen a little but not too much other wise it'll hit the rear belt.Hope this will help you.If not e-mail me and I'll send you some pics.As they say pictures...is the best.

Default Show me the pictures!

I want to see the photos of what your battery set up looks like, because mine just doesn't work. Thanks. I think that it would help other people.

Thanks RaceNews. I am definitely doing to have to re-do my packs special for this car, there is just no way around it. Chrisman, waiting for your photos too.

I have been a hold out of Tamiya connectors, since I void my warranties on my chargers if I cut them off and put on any other connectors. Was going to upgrade to gold plated tamiya connectors from Integy, but now, I have to re-think things, at least in part. I'll send photos after I get it figured out for me here.

My link wires are already too long, so those have got to go. I made them long for ease getting into my Street Weapon IWC. Grrrr.

Thanks again guys.
