Same case, yes. the one you speak of has less features ( a lot less) than that of the speed passion.

Pan from HW told me they make the GT and Venom. It's funny how Speed Passion GT keeps changint specs. Before they had a maximum output current of 600A, now it's 720A like the HW. Now the GT has a 180A cont. current and they had 120A before. The program box only has one thing and it is the start mode. The GT has levels and everything is right in front of the program box, but it is the same as the HW start mode. Here is what it says on the program box for HW:

Now the program box has the following:

1. Running Mode:
(1) Forward/Brake
(2) Forward/Brake/Reverse
2. Drag Brake Force:
(1) 0%
(2) 5%
(3) 10%
(4) 15%
(5) 20%
(6) 25%
(7) 30%
(8) 40%
3. Low Voltage Cut-Off:
(1) None
(2) 2.6V/Cell
(3) 2.8V/Cell
(4) 3.0V/Cell
(5) 3.2V/Cell
(6) 3.4V/Cell
4. Start Mode:
(1) Soft
(2) Normal
(3) Aggressive
(4) Very Aggressive
5. Brake Force:
(1) 25%
(2) 50%
(3) 75%
(4) 100%
6. Reverse Force:
(1) 25%
(2) 50%
(3) 75%
(4) 100%
7. Initial Brake Force:
(1) Drag Brake Force
(2) 0
(3) 20%
(4) 40%
8. Neutral Range:
(1) 6%
(2) 9%
(3) 12%
9. Timing:
(1) 0
(2) 3.75
(3) 7.5
(4) 11.25
(5) 15
(6) 18.75
(7) 22.5
(8)26.25
10. Motor Type:
(1) Brushless Motor
(2) Brushed Motor With Reverse
(3) Brushed Motor Forward/Brake Only
11. Over-Heat Protection:
(1) 95C
(2) Disabled

lunatic, i got another conspiracy for you. There are hundreds of brands of guitar strings but there are only a handful of companies in the world that manufacture them. You better run to all the guitar forums and let them know!

You would be surprised how often things get re-labeled for distribution. Its not a bad thing. Items are worth what people are willing to pay for them. Ive seen a lot of GTs sold so I would say they are priced just fine. Just give it a rest, OK? Im going to assume you are just a young kid that still has a lot to learn about commerce and global markets.

Hi,

I have both the speedpassion and the HW and I can tell you the HW doesn't come close to the speedpassion. The software in the speedpassion is alot smoother even with the same settings. For me they are not the same. They might look the same but they are not.

I will make a video for you Ronald to show you how smooth the HW is. I will also use 4S lipos and a HV4.5 motor just for kicks. Like I said before, HW makes them for Speed Passion and Venom and I made a copy of the chat I had with Pan. Ronald, are you able to show us pictures and video of both your controllers to show us the differance? Plus the picture in radiocontrolzone clearly shows HW406 v1.21 A or HW106 v1.21 A HW = Hobby wing and it doesn't show any sign of it being made by King Golden and/or Speed Passion.

lutach, Can you also do a video tape with the speedpassion in your car for comparison? So we can see they are the same.
