I have looked and can't seem to find the info
How do I find out what FDR is for a JRXS and a TC3
I found the excell link but I can't get it to open
I just need the drive ratio for the cars and the formula to figure our FDR
I will have 21.5 lipo in almost all my cars

With a min gear ratio spec of 4.2, you may run with a spur/pinion ratio of 2.295 or higher.
TC3 internal ratio 2.50 : 1
With a min gear ratio spec of 4.2, you may run with a spur/pinion ratio of 1.680 or higher.

Your formula is FDR = (spur divided by pinion) times internal ratio.
an easy way to figure is to take your known spur gear and your known max FDR. If, for example, you have a 100T spur in your TC3 (what mine always seem to have) and you enter the max FDR as 4.2:
4.2 = (100 / pinion) X 2.5 = 100 X 2.5 / pinion
4.2 X pinion = 100 X 2.5
pinion = 100 X 2.5 / 4.2
Which gives a whopping 59.52 tooth pinion. As with any of these, the 60 tooth pinion would not be legal (too low net FDR), the 59 tooth would be the largest legal. Not that it would actually fit the TC3. Strikes me I installed a 78-ish tooth spur in my TC4 when I was testing the 1s / 13.5 combo. To get anything down to 4.2 in the TC3 will require you to do a little gentle Dremel work on the webbing in the chassis below the pinion. Only takes a couple minutes.
Gearchart.com says the Losi JRXS has an internal ratio of 1.83. Figure this the same way, but your selection of spur sizes is limited on the Losi cars.

I have the PRS spur gear adapter so I can go real low I just don't have my gears with me right know So I think I am good on the JRXS
Now I just have to try and come close on the TC3
This will be the first time we are running them
I just want to get them up and going because I have a Big race coming upi in April called the Spring Fling and it will be the 10th Annual one and I wan tot make it Big and am Hoping to get a good group of VTA cars up here for it
It is on April 24th and 25th

We change our track most races too (historically) which means you want a car that's got a GREAT base setup that can take a couple minor tweaks. If you change that regularly you won't find the "set to kill" setup.
