problem is i dont have a track around here, i'm in springfield illinois and we dont have crap. but i have alot of brand new open parking lots to run in and i just want something to get me to where i need to be so if i go to a track up north i will have something to run, i know it sounds stupid but thats where i'm at right now.
I think they are setting up some parking lot racing over the summer around the decatur - champaign area also....
PM me for more details

Great Vid for promoting...
Yeah,Hats off to the dude who made this vid...i'm gonna post this on our local forum to promote getting VTA racing going here in Western Canada. Our local guys are scoffing at the rules a little, thinking they won't be fast enough. They're FAST...enough. Thanks again...i'm really excited to get our racing going! Terry

Speaking of legal bodies...
Does anyone have some insight into Pegasus Hobbies? Their bodies are always out of stock, I can't find em on ebay, and they don't answer my emails.
I r-e-a-l-l-y want the 70Camaro body.

They all do. Pick one and go race. Anything you can get parts for, anything that is easy to work on, or anything that is anodized a color you like—it really isn't that important in Trans Am racing. Your personal setup and driving is infinitely more important.

Any Tamiya !! Wow, there was a time when I'd joke like that and half the people on the thread would be raising hell over it. VTA is making this fun again.
Any good all wheel drive car could be used. The Losi XXX-S comes to mind as one of the better choices. The Tamiya TA04, TRF414, Any Evo series car are great choices too. possibilities are HUGE. I'm even thinking of running one of my TA03 cars just to see how one really handles. I collect them but really have never run one.
