as i was once told by a local 'fastguy' and Reedy ROC champ, for the motors we use, the higher C packs don't make a difference because the motors don't pull enough out of the packs to benefit from the higher C ratings..

so because of this tidbit of advice, i've stayed with my 'lowly' 35C reedy pack and have every bit as much power and performance then they guys that are running higher C rated packs

Good stuff guys, and glad to see the continued interest and growth of USVTA!

We here in the Northeast are planning some cool events in 2012, starting with our SLowbirds race at Horsham R/C on Sunday January 29th!

Horsham is our local indoor R/C mecca, and is located in Horsham Pa.

Anyone in our area who is looking for a USVTA event should check it out....

Thread can be found here..... http://www.rctech.net/forum/racing-f...th-2012-a.html

We're also planning an outdoor summer USVTA event you won't want to miss too...

We raced VTA at RCAR in Indianapolis for part of our "New Year's Nationals" races. There were 8 entries in VTA. I was one of the ones really hoping for VTA that day, but then I forgot my Camaro body on the kitchen table on the way out the door! Doh!

Fortunately, I had everything else VTA and they let me run with my "Vintage" USGT Honda Prelude body. And, I offered to DQ myself if I placed in the top three. But, if you've seen me drive, there wasn't much chance of that... unless all 7 others broke!

We had a great layout:

Default Just a Question...

Why are the HPI Vintage Performance tires not allowed for VTA racing? Other than the tread pattern, the rubber compound is the same. Just asking, I'm not trying to make waves...THX

You know sometimes if a fast guy puts vaseline on his motor wires and then wins a race, other people are going to try it to see if it works. Its better to just stay out of the head games.

Right now we enjoy the standard of one tire. You know if your buddy is faster than you, its not the tire he is using. Its something else.
