The firmware can not be updated or have the ability to be updated. I asked about the Justock a few weeks back and even sent one to Rob for testing. Even though the timing is and always will be locked no matter what level of firmware is on the ESC, it can still be changed and therefore not allowed as someone could have the opportunity to cheat with it.

+1 That helps with me too. I didnt understand what the problem was.

Does anybody know who makes the chassis for the cup racer that makes it standard TC configuration?

It is a shame, the Justock is very nice. I now use it in my F103 and FGX. Very smooth and great punch. I would recommend it for every other blinky class out there. It also has reverse for practice.

That sucks, but I do understand the spirit of the rule.

I did not know what the rules are, that is why I asked.

Feel free to contact Team CRC for any of your speed control needs in the future.

Now back to your regulary scheduled program....

Well, I guess I'll cancel my order for a Javelin body and a few sets of VTA legal tires, (as the Justock would have been my esc of choice due to cost constraints).

I too, understand the spirit of the rule, and have to commend Rob for recognizing the potential issues the Justock could bring to the table!!! Way to be pro-active Mr. King!!!!!

way to see such a positive support for the class.....

if you think you could be a better job - maybe ask Rob if he's looking for a helper that would actually help the class get better, not better serve his own objectives...

heck, dumper didn't whine or cry - offer a suggest, wasn't accepted and moved on...

well, if the Justock isnt on the list, and size is the issue, you have plenty of other options....Citrix, Edge, Goose, are all small and seem to fit for alot of racers...

I looked in our Novak USVTA Store to high-light Novak ESC options for both size and price:

RMF GTB2 with Low Profile heat sink

RMF Mongoose

New Edge 2S

Novak controllers have been designed to operate with our 25.5T motors that we customized for USVTA racing. We have worked hard to offer quality, American-manufactured products that are affordable, along with a Trade-In program that allows our USVTA customers to trade/exchange into newer items at any time.

Is there something that Justock could bring to the table that Novak is not currently offering for our USVTA customers? Examining the specs, their Club Esc weighs in at a hefty 59g compared to our Mongoose or Edge at 19.5g; our GTB2 at 32.6g (w/o wires)

I think novak offers a few good choices for USVTA and I salute the efforts Novak have put behind USVTA. But i think that your products do not suit everyone. Choice and the ability to make that individual choice is one of the the things I love about rc.

We are always eager to improve our electronics and design additional features into our products. What are your suggestions for us to make these items more appealing and suitable for USVTA?
