Stock set up should be close. Can you sauce tires? I find that 95% of my set up is properly cleaned and sauces tires.

I know locally some of the guys running the TC5F Needed to soften up their chassis stiffness and make reliefs in the top plate to allow that to happen.

Check to make sure that the sensor on the 25.5 is not loose or the screws were not loose. especially if you added more timing to the motor. I know on some of the Novak motors you almost have to loosen the screws of the sensor to get the sensor cable in and out....this can sometimes result in the Cirtix not picking up the sensor and not working 100% if everything isnt 100% seated after. Just some things to look for if it happens again.
Kevin, I sent a report to Novak, and sensor boards are on the way. Very fast and timely response.

They helped me out with a 13.5 motor, didn't even have to show a receipt.

I wish. The track owner fricks out if anyone use sauce. I sanded the mold mark off. I thinthe chassis maybe too stiff. I'm a baseline TC5 set-up.

Hear is a question .we/I been running vta with 21.5 rules with (spec 5.2fdr) and open mechanical timing @ 1550g my car is dialed drives flawlessly .
Ok in Nov I'm goin to the fall classic in dalas tx. They r usvta except they run 1450g
If I take my car and with the 25.5 will the extra 100g hurt me or will it allow car to carry more corner speed ?
Do I shave 100g and change setup or be 100g heavy?
Which u think is faster?

Can you clean with Simple Green? Scrub em good with it. It will help.

Goo gone gel to "clean" the tires will help give you some grip from the tires as well

Keep the weight! It helps your handling and you won't be messing with your "flawlessly dialed" car.

Good idea! Anything to clean off the form release they coat the molds with. I usually scuff my new tires with light sand paper just to take the bead and the gloss off the rubber, but that doesn't clean out the depths of the treads.

I have found lighter fluid does a far better job at cleaning my tires than simple green does.

I like to condition them with Aloe for sunburns then clean them with WD-40.

That's right - now that you're officially a "local", you better get out there with us

We're really trying to get a well-attended day on Oct 22 2011 for some USVTA action in Easley SC.
Anyone looking to help us get it going, check this thread:
http://www.rctech.net/forum/georgia-...22-2011-a.html
(it's not really in GA, but there's no regional area on rctech that includes SC)
