Have a club member who just got his Edge. So far he's loving it. He's a newbie and was a bit concerned about the apparent lack of braking with his Havoc. He just installed the Edge and I talked him through the setup. He was pleasently surprised. He'll have it on track this coming Sunday so we'll see.
I have no great experience with the Cirtix other than to say the instructions SUCK !! Another club member bought 2 of them and we tried to get it setup last Sunday. Got it running but then found out you need a program card or a pc interface to change anything else like getting reverse turned on. The default is forward/brake only. If anybody knows better, clue me in but i think he's already convinced to return his SP combos and get the Novaks.

Yep, they don't tell you than when you buy it, but you need the program card for the SP/HW ESCs. No one button anything there. I already have 3 GTBS, but was really interested in the smaller footprint. I'm going to get one and give it a try. Might even have to try one in my F1 with the 21.5 I have laying around now.

The Edge actually has awesome brakes. There was one corner where I stood on it every lap the first weekend I had it in my car. Really, it's a perfect size esc for any "blinky" class even beyond trans am.

how do you guys get going fast enough to need brakes?

I do know the gtb2 is faster in vta than the gtb1 so that makes me wonder about the edge

Is the HW Juststock a legal esc? I have been running the Cirtix this past season, very nice! Small also. Has been rock solid for me.

Handles the heat well. I ran down to a 3.4 FDR with the SS and never saw above 150 on the motor. ESC was barely over 100.

Unless I missed something there's NO reverse on the Cirtix ESC. Now that being said, I just put one in my car and the acceleration is SNAPPY! I would like to try an EDGE at some point but at the moment I'm happy.

I sure hope you missed something. The instructions describe a reverse profile available. I'll take the Novak AND their understandable instructions any day.

No actually dial drag brake into your car. It's faster.

You'd be surprised how much time you pick up when you don't overshoot everything.

Well then Cirtix did:

Quote:

3 running modes (Forward with brake “ No Reverse”, Forward with brake “reverse after FULL Stop” and Direct Forward/reverse with brake) (note 2).
