With the new layout at T&L for the trophy race on the 4th,,I think 25.5 is the way to go.We had a couple guys running them against 21.5 on the old layout and it was very even.with the new tighter layout 25's might be the ticket.I know I will try it.

The aforementioned trophy race happens to be the 3rd stop on the road to the Nats, a series whose sole purpose is to support the VTA shops/tracks/groups that race in the area of the Nats.

BTW 60* of endbell timing, is definitely illegal for 25.5, but as long as you're running 21.5, why not try to burn them to the ground...

We also need to make it a condition that they run an RS Pro with Vegas 208 and a mandatory 3.5 FDR. First guy to fry both an ESC and motor takes third then first is the last car rolling under it's own power. Also they have to turn off the lipo cutoff and run them until they dump or die. If they dump first have to keep putting in Lipos until the DIE, DIE, DIE MU.

yeh they did it b/c they were goin to, and to like to, tech rpm before race and equalize every1. they were rollin back the ballistics to a range they wanted, sadly they couldnt help our velociti, so we were just resigned to the fact that our motor was slow and we had to win some other way.

tech guy even stated to crowd holdin our car 'if you lose to this car, its on you, because its by far the slowest motor through tech'. hehehehehe.

I have a Hitec 635 in a TC3 and it feels noticeably slow to everyone who has driven the car.

A JR Z590, although nearly identical in specs, feels a bit better, but it's still not "direct" feeling like a futaba 9551 for example.

Yeah Id imagine those are pretty slow for it. Mine has a high end jr but not sure its needed, so dont want to waste the money on overkill

get a savox there around $65, good price. You can take that servo to other rc cars when needed. There around .9 and 146 oz in that range.

Hobby Partz has the T-Pro SG5010 servo for $4.90. I just got one and its not a bad servo, especially for under five bucks. You could buy 13 of them for the price of that Savox and have a few spares around if one happens to fail. I don't think its as good as the specs suggest, but its way better than either my Airtronics or Spektrum standard servos. I've run those standard servos in my car in the past and they worked just fine. Lately I've been running Spektrum DS821 servos in most of my cars. Great servo as well for around $30, even if it was intended for aircraft.

I don't skimp on buying nice servo's for on-road. A servo centering well is probably more important to me than just speed and power. I've been having good luck with the savox brand here lately.
