Hijinx, my local club is using 21.5 motors still with no timing ESCs. We stuck to the 21.5 mostly because Novak is the only company making 25.5 so it's much easier to get a 21.5. I love the idea of allowing the Australian muscle cars as well. It gets boring seeing the same three cars going around the track.

i wish HPI would do a 1973 ford XB GT pursuit special (interceptor)
i think a few of you U.S guys may know the car
and you can get a 200mm body here (also pictured)

i noticed a couple days ago that rctech has been slow to load on my computer some times (any other forum/site is ok) and now today i have had a lot of trouble up loading pics,they either load up in 5-10 sec or it takes 5 minutes and says "unable to load due to security key missing" or some thing like that
unless its my computer (did some up dates a few days back)

back to vta
hopefully my new sakura zero s will turn up tomorrow and i can get my vta car started

whew i just thought it was something stupid I did on my PC

there's an easy way to fix it - if you're using IE

add http://gumgum.com to your list of restricted sites no more annoying ads

USGT 21.5 motor question.

Can it be a 21.5 from any manufacturer or does it have to be a novak unit?

USGT Class Rules and Specifications


Chassis Specification:
Any 1/10 4wd or Fwd sedan with 4 wheel independent suspension.

Weight Specification:
4wd 1450g weight Fwd 1400g weight

Body Specifications:
Any 190mm or 200mm body. Body can be any body that is NOT on the ROAR T2 body list. NO Trucks
Any "SCALE" molded wings can be used. Lexan wings 10mm maximum height / side dam height
Scale type race liveries encouraged

Tire & Wheel Specifications:
Tires-Any treaded (non slick) non belted rubber tire available 24 or 26mm. Removing belts from belted tires is not allowed. Must used a non-molded (ex. open cell foam) insert or no insert. Grinding of tire tread is NOT permitted. Sanding of mold seam to remove seam is allowed.
Wheels- Any 24 or 26mm spoke (non-dish) type wheel

Ride Height Specification:
Minimum ride height is 5mm.



Motor Specifications:
21.5 + 2s lipo batteries No tuning rotors, must use OEM rotor 12.3-12.5mm

Approved ESCs:
ESC ROAR approved spec software or USVTA list

Race Specification:
6 minute qualifiers
8 minute mains

Battery Specifications:
ROAR approved hard case batteries

The USGT motor rules are open 21.5 motors. Many people are using the 21.5s they had from the previous incarnation of VTA, so there might seem to be more Novaks out there than other motors.
