Just checkoout my YT channel http://www.youtube.com/jdeadman

Thanks, and I am working on getting better video equipment but for now I only have a Nikon coolpix s220 But I am looking at getting a Hero Pro Wide angle.

Bob checked with ROAR; our epoxied stators do not require ROAR approval. The epoxy coating does not alter any of the properties of the stators---resistance numbers and inductance numbers are not affected. These are the same hand-wound stators we have always used in our SS Pros and Ballistic Spec motors. Our USVTA 25.5T motors, used with non-timing/boost escs, do not need epoxied stators.

It would be helpful for USVTA to speak up as well. Their rules are the rules that most tracks follow.

I'm not really sure what the deal is here? I have seen the oval guys talking about these stators, why do we need them?

Yea We have limited Space so it's a 1/12 scale sized track and we are running the VTA cars at about 4.6- 4.8FDr Speed is not what wins it's accelleration.

But still fun. We are going to be running these cars outdoor in the summer at a parking lot so we can gear these things up and have fun. Also to note that the 1/12th pan cars (10.5Brushless Timining allowed are running 8.9 - 10s Laps and the VTA are in the 10.9 to 11.5s)

USVTA does not need the epoxied stators!

In fact, I have requested the the 25.5T Ballistic stator be removed from our list of epoxied stator offerings. I am not sure why it was listed in the first place. These epoxied stators are offered primarily for Oval racers, on single cell with timing/boost escs.

thanks for clarifing this. i suggested these stators as a means to eleminate the possibility of tampering. our club worked out these issues and is ready to go have some fun at the next race!!

I checked with the race director & race organizer about this upcoming race in Indianapolis. Since it is a ROAR race the VTA rules will be slightly different to the USVTA rule. For this event it will be any 25.5 motor and any "blinky" mode ESC (Since ROAR cannot show manufacturer favoritism). I can live with the compromise for this event even though I would prefer if we could run 100% USVTA rules.

[start shame-less plug]

I hope all the regional VTA racers consider coming out for this event. R/Car is a very good facility that has successfully hosted some big events this indoor season (Hurricane & Grand Slam series stops).

[/end shame-less plug]

I've been confused about this too. Is it the single fastest lap time? Or your fastest qualifying round?
